I was playing Halo over the weekend, and it has a simple way of dealing with snipers: descope on hit.

Yeah but ALL weapons descope on hit in halo BIG difference....
Yeah but ALL weapons descope on hit in halo BIG difference....
So, why not make that apply here?L instead of only applying it to snipers? I feel like scouts would see more use then instead of the TLW/sniper combo. Then you have to hit the sniper once before he gets you, then just keep firing and keeping him descoped.

Editado por Zonntohn: 7/6/2016 5:12:26 PM1. This is not Halo 2. The game was not developed to have accurate hip fire so that would mean re writing all the code (waste of money they will never do that). 3. You realize then the scout would scope out each time you were hit as well so the game would really turn into who shoots who first since who ever gets hit cant scope in to hit the other person. 4. Then scouts would be just as bad as snipers are now. 5. Everyone would complain about all ranged weapons 6. Camping would actually be worse since the is no cap on primary ammo so teams would just sit on outside of map with mida and start hitting a person who comes into their field of visions and the person wouldn't be able to do anything since he got hit first and continues to hit good luck zooming in to return fire. 7. Game would turn into "oh no i have been hit", runs away to get away from getting shot since they cant return fire.

There is also a hipfire reticle, right? A reticle that is just as accurate as being scoped in too, right? I don't play on xbone so these are genuine questions. Would you not be able to no scope someone if you had above average skill?
-
Hip fire yes, as accurate not quite but close and at some of the distances you snipe in halo 5 it's impressive if you can no scope
-
it is just as accurate as the bullet travels exactly where the reticle is it harder to no scope then scope someone yes. But bullet accuracy is the same in and out of scope
-
Reticle is just bigger and makes it harder to aim at far targets

And not sure as to being just as accurate, since it's been close to a decade since I plated Halo competitively. And yes, people can no scope in Halo with above average skill, but I've also seen a decent amount of no scopes in Destiny. But I also don't know how accurate Destiny's is, either, if you put a dot in the center of the screen.

No scoping is kind of all or nothing thing it seems like. Judging from shooting at a wall hip fire is inconsistent. That is without aim assist though.. If you land it and the guy is weak already then he will for because a sniper body does so much damage.
-
But in this game you spawn with the sniper you've customized and keep ammo through death. So it makes sense not descope and shoot through flinch with ease. #Sarcasm #logic
-
ALL WEAPONS in halo descope, and have same accuracy from the hip as they do scoped in....See the difference i hope so lol.
-
Valid argument. But whoever decided that snipers should even have the option of hip fire accuracy?
-
Just pointing out that with descope and no hip accuracy the weapon would no longer be used (maps/ game types in this game as CQC there is not sniper perches etc). Only reason Descope works in halo is if you body shot the other player they descope as well or if your descoped you still have a chance to hit the other player with a well placed shot. Another point is Aim assit in halo is so low that you arent always going to hit the target infront of you that is sniping you, in destiny the aim assist is so high that you cant even strafe to make the opponent miss (unless they are really bad). Lets talk about their increase zoom to fix snipers. This was a lazy attempt to fix snipers. here is why. The main problem is being able to land shots while flinching right? why is this possible well because of AA all bungie had to do was lower the AA of all snipers but why didnt they do this..... My thoughts are it is easier to change the programming for a couple of the scopes instead of going through each weapon to lower AA . So basically they were to lazy to properly address the problem.
So basically they were to lazy to properly address the problem.
This was my favorite part of your post there. Makes too much sense.

I just found it odd that everyone was complaining that AA was too high so they increase the zoom and added a frame or 2 to scoping in. I was like ummm i see reprogramming scopes is a lot less work then reprogramming every sniper in the game.
