Do YOU as the Community Think snipers are op and why?

Nope. I respect a good headshot always, but two bodies can make me a bit salty

No.i think they are over used. However in the last 2 weeks I've seen a huge influx of fusion rifles and shotties. The game is actually looking really good in terms of weapon variety.

2 RespuestasI personally don't think that they are OP, but I do think that they are over used. In crucible these days it seems everyone is using snipers as a primary weapon instead of their actual primary weapon. (unless no land beyond). But man if people are good with snipers they do some serious damage. My only thought on snipers is that I don't think they should have any aim assist. The point of sniping is to do it far away and to be precise done with patience, not quick scope. Ill say one thing though getting my ass handed to me in trials with a team of snipers has made me want to pick one up and start practicing.

I think snipers are performing too well in the sidearm/fusion rifle range. Maybe push the low zoom scopes farther out and add more flinch from high caliber rounds. Bungie has stated that they have adjusted weapons because they were performing outside the intended range and feel like snipers are encroaching on the mid-range special weapons.

Just by hard numbers, snipers are the better choice and when mastered snipers are infinitely better than shotguns

I don't think snipers are the problem. Never thought they needed a nerf in the first place. Just need primaries to be better at challenging them. HCR should stay on Mida and Red Death should be returned to glory.

14 RespuestasThis poll will conclude in a biased results. A majority of the players in destiny are using snipers. Those guys aren't going to say snipers are op offcourse, for they would hate it if bungie took away their bitch weapon to get cheap kills because of how stupidly broken they are

Apart from them needing some sort of sway, they're fine the way they are. Should be like CoD where the use of r3 to eliminate sway for a short period of time is the only thing they need. Then of you truly are a God at sniping you will be able to hit them quick scopes.

I don't think they are crazy op, I do not enjoy how good some are with them. Imo when I am blasting when in the head he shouldn't be able to turn and just quick scope that's really my only complaint about them.

Snipers are powerful weapons. Is there too much aim assist? Probably, but I don't care either way cause this is a video game.

Its not the snipers. Sniping is just to easy to do.

1 RespuestaSomething that it appears people are missing: If the alternatives are comparatively too weak, snipers are over powered. Just because something is overpowered relatively, it doesn't mean that the correct fix is to nerf snipers. Snipers do need rebalancing within the archetype, but that intratype problems and not intertype issues. To deal with the OP issue of snipers, weapon flinch needs a big boost.

Not OP, just overused. Turn the corner and at least half the other team are ready to blow your lid off. There also seems to be some REALLY 'good' snipers in Destiny. Maybe I'm just a noob but I get quickscoped so much in this game.

Snipers are find, just the other options aren't as potent, shotguns require a god roll and even then their range still sucks, fusions were supposed to be a skilled players weapon, leading a shot and time the charge right but now it's pre charge a corner and hope rng lets the bolts hit

Editado por Kilo: 7/7/2016 5:11:56 PMI don't think you should spawn with special ammo. It's incredibly frustrating to constantly get sniped. It's not like I'm standing still or in a sniper lane. People use them everywhere and a lot of people are really good so it's instant death the second they see me. There's not really a good way to counter them. In Halo I would just shoot them but that doesn't work in Destiny. Also everyone can spawn with a sniper whereas in Halo it was a power weapon and only had 1-2 per map. Also primaries overall have been getting weaker and less effective at range making snipers more dominant. I don't think snipers should be nerfed. I just think ammo should be more restricted. The only change I would make to snipers would be changing the AA. High impact snipers should have the lowest AA and low impact snipers should have the highest AA. Basically AA should vary by archetype.
