At lest when it comes to skirmish , but in trials I have seen the data from about 5 previous maps, the data is similar to this one.

I'm sorry did you mean week or June 10th ?it isn't very clear what you meant, like I have said, June 10th isn't some exceptional day datawise, these numbers are very similar to every other day after the April update( the farthermost point I checked)

The date of June 10th was pantheon June 3rd was burning shrine May 27th was exodus blue All of these maps were sniping maps It can also be said for close range maps like the drifter where shotties and close ranged weapons reigned supreme (at least according to the site) All I'm saying is that if bungie gives us a close range map then people will use closer range weapons and if bungie gives us a longer range map (like it has been for a while) then longer range weapons will be chosen.

I disagree, but the best way to find out for sure, is check elimination playlist(random maps)(35% on average) ,go back in the data to a map you consider to be close quarters, or wait till one shows up in trials, but regardless three maps where the data is skewed this heavily isn't exactly what can be called "balanced playlist" for such a competitive scene .

Not valid argument, November was the pulse rifle meta and before shotguns were nerfed, and december 11 th was three days after the update dropped not nearly enough to say "this is the meta"

Well why don't we let you whine about your shottie and I'll keep my NLB (or [i]the devil you know [/i] depending upon how i feel) and sidearm. Because people like you are so invested in saving your own hides that I bet you didn't even check out how often my weapons are used, did you? I mean who cares so long as you are comfortable, right man? So I'm gonna go play some crucible and use possibly the most under powered sniper and the worst sidearm. And you want to know what? I'm a chick but I do believe that my metaphorical one might be bigger lol besides when we were speaking "civilly" I would share something with you and you would reply back with jargon about things that you obviously don't understand since your profile says you haven't played trials in 2 months. If you played you would have noticed universal remote appearing more frequently and you would remember that the maps I tried to show you were [b]long[/b] maps. I must be stupid but I thought snipers were better for long maps and so I would switch up my arsenal to adapt to the maps but silly me! I forgot that shotguns were better for long maps and everyone but you doesn't know that. I'll have to say that I did come across plenty of shotguns and plenty of snipers too. But alas we'll never know for sure until destiny gives us a close range map. But when they do and the stats prove me right. I will remember this post. I have it saved just for that day. Until then my little shotgunner. *salutes you*

I'll admit I don't like trials because it's more about specials not primaries and these are what I like( not shotguns) , although I will say i love my ashraven's . But anyway it's a date when a close quarters map comes along....till then....

That is certainly delicious , evenly divided between snipers and shotguns, I wish the results are replicated like that more often , why do you think it isn't happening more often?

(I went to the Web site) 6-10-2016 was/is pantheon in TOO. Pantheon is basically two sniping lanes and therefore a lot of sniping will happen. Even a few of my friends who use shotties or fusion rifles will switch to NLB (at least) or 1k stare. It's just smarter to play that way on a longer map with fewer close encounters.

I think maybe the data from 4-1 to 4-5 is the most objective, because of the rotating maps, although that was before the April update, but really was that a significant change? Data sits at 35% snipers. The next best thing is 4-22 to 4-25 , rotating earth maps, and that is after the April update the data is 34% snipers.
