Editado por Oddball: 5/26/2016 8:33:58 PMThat is a HUGE lie. The EU establishes trade between EU countries.
-
Because, ya know, there was absolutely no trade before the EU was formed.
-
*Cheaper Trade If we leave, imports would increase in price.
-
Oh yeah? So maybe you should start exporting.
-
The price of our goods will increase aswell so some countries may refuse to trade.
-
Why are you importing more than exporting? Also, mass migration is an invasion. EU is garbage.
-
I think he meant that it establishes better trade agreements, not that without the EU we can't trade at all.
-
How so?

Well, Europe is a diverse continent with varying cultures and cultural morals. A large sweeping law can be detrimental as it makes people who would otherwise be fine with rules that are best for their specific needs and unique circumstances is now a general average that doesn't fit nicely. It would be better for say Britian if the laws were made in Britian instead of Brussels.
It would be better for say Britian if the laws were made in Britian instead of Brussels.
I disagree. The people in charge of our laws are screwing us over a barrel, and EU law is just about the only thing stopping them.
-
Examples?

Editado por Psyntifik: 5/27/2016 7:47:30 AMThe EU law tackles Tory tax dodging for one. Would you really prefer Tories have full reign over our laws? A bunch of EU proposals are from Britain, anyways.

That's an odd position. What's your conception of sovereignty? Does it flow up from the people or do rights flow down from power? As an American, the idea that an outside power could control our actions seems insanely undemocratic.
-
Down from power. A sad truth I accept. It's a sad position to be in when you rely on another government to protect you from you're own country, but that's the way it is. As I've said in another post, the lesser of two evils.

I find it ironic that back in the day, people were so concerned that monarch would abuse their power, so they force the monarch to cede power to parliament, and now you claim that instead of worrying about one local tyrant, you have to deal with a multitude of tyrants. What was the point?
