SBMM is the best thing to happen to Destiny PvP. The matches should be sweaty. If your KD is dropping, it's because it was overinflated in the first place. No more jumping into matches to pub stomp. :) I love it.

Why mention kd and not have your account linked? And you want one of the most casual shooters to be sweaty? Why.. ?
-
Because nobody treats it like it's casual. You have 2 scenarios in PvP, one has already played itself out in Destiny and the other is in progress. Scenario 1: PvP matchmaking is completely connection/geographically based. New/unskilled players paired against veteran/highly skilled players. Vet/High skilled player runs the game, destroys everyone and gets medals out the waz. Vet/ High skilled player is happy and laughing it up with his buddies on YouTube: "Haha, look at dis bruh, I pwn'd dem noobs good huh?" Meanwhile, everyone else in the game was like "eff this game. Why bother. I can't stay alive long enough to learn the entire map or to pit together some sort of strategy. Bungo pls nerf!!!"

Editado por REVIVE PHARMER: 4/25/2016 6:59:55 PMScenario 2: SBMM is instituted. Noob/unskilled player sees a slight rise in KD and starts to have at least a little success in PvP. Vet/Highly skilled players see the exact opposite. KD suffers a little and success is less because they are paired with players of equal skill. Now Vet/Highly skilled players be like "SBMM sux. Matches too sweaty, not fun anymore. KD/ELO suffering, Bungo pls nerf!!" The reality is, for a Noob/unskilled player, ever match is sweaty wether they want it to be or not.

One of the biggest problems though is the connection. When prioritizing skill over connection, you get way more laggy matches. I can't say getting killed while the person is on the other side of the wall is my favorite thing in the world. And considering I run a hard wired connection with good internet, it's not on my end. I'd also like to say that playing sweats every single game is extremely annoying. I usually try to stay away from meta weapons and sometimes likes to use random weapons that are far from the best, my latest being First Curse. It doesn't help that the players it matches me against are often significantly higher k/d than myself. I'm generally above average with about a 1.3, and often get matched with people in the 1.9's and 2.0's. I don't find that particularly fun.

Have to agree. I love playing pvp and messing around. Sometimes I play well, sometimes I suck. My mediocre kd keeps me matched with even players and it's great.
-
Agreed. I maintain a .8 KD most of the time when I do play PvP. I get so frustrated at the lag, delayed hit detection and the host of other problems I encounter in PvP. Not worth it. Oh yeah, and the rewards are garbage. I stopped grinding IB last month and haven't attempted Trials in a long time.
-
See, your 0.8 means you are getting good matches comparatively. I have around a 1.15, and this pvp is absolute shit.

Editado por REVIVE PHARMER: 4/25/2016 5:31:50 PMLol. They still aren't "good" by any stretch. The hit detection is always bad. I think it has something to do with this "damage referee" that has been implemented. 60% of my shots and melee hits are delayed and I end up losing close engagements. I'm not good at PvP at all and really only jump in for the daily so my opinion really doesn't have much weight behind it. After grinding IB for 12 hrs two months ago and getting absolute shit rewards, I decided PvP wasn't for me.

Yeah, damage referee sucks. I play mostly casual pvp in destiny, and I still get matched with the sweatiest sweats that ever sweated. Sometimes I play with my friend who has a 0.6 average, and I get phantoms, 10 kill streaks, and triple downs like I'm TrueVanguard.
