Have the enemies always been 42? I really don't remember, maybe the raid has been turnt up a bit. The April update page did say new difficulties and higher light rewards.

Used to be 41 Making them 42 didn't change much as the light levels are still the same
-
Has to count for something.

Word. That sniper nerf hurts a bit too.
-
It's not as bad as you think. Since we're higher light we can do more damage per shot. I can 1 shot the Knights during oryx with Her Fury, which is the same archetype as 1KYS. Couldn't do that before. With the same amount of ammo, Kings Fall would be easier than it already is.
-
It's cool, 320 spindles were not doing the same as they were last week. Causing some issues for some groups. I understand it would possibly be too easy. It would be nice if "they" would jus come out and say, " the raid will be too easy with 25 sniper rounds so we're nerfing it!" Not, " 1kys is being used too much, we're going to increase the zoom and take 5-7 rounds out of the backpack." Subsequently not affecting PvP at all.
-
Yeah I just played quite a bit of trials, and 1kys was still the most common weapon of all. Their reasoning was legitimate, but it'd be nice if they actually talked about weapon performance in pve. Not everyone likes to get sweaty all the time
-
You think the reasoning was legitimate? If they wanted to turn people away from sniping in PvP, they would need to lower aim assist and aim assist alone. Not the reserve ammo.

Editado por Roosevelt: 4/16/2016 5:16:17 AMHaving less ammo forces people to use their shots more wisely. It was way too easy to go a whole game with nothing but special before the current change. Snipers are a rough thing to try and balance, it's a 1 hit kill weapon at any range. I feel what they did was adequate for now, they probably don't want to go overboard with nerfs as they often do.
-
I don't want to disagree too much as I rarely play trials. But I can start a match in other modes with 12 shots. That exact same amount I could have before the nerf. It's not like people were running around with 25 rounds in PvP. They have their 6-12 shots and pick up more ammo as the match goes on. From my point of view, they did nothing to discourage the use of snipers. And that's fine, not complaining. I think they used PvP as an excuse for the real reason, being the raid. Why beat around the bush Bungie? Aim assist downgrade is the only thing that will decrease the number of snipers. I'll drop it.
-
I was starting with 6 today in trials. Which seems reasonable. If you want my real opinion, then I think snipers might have worked out better in this game as heavy weapons. They have the highest reward potential of any weapon just due to their nature. You can't argue with an instant ttk, even rockets can't kill as fast as snipers because of travel time. Most people who are really focused on winning would rather rely on being able to cover a lane with a 1 hit KO weapon instead of getting in your face with something else. I doubt an aim assist nerf would change much in pvp without destroying it in pve as well. They've made it clear that the changes have to be universal, it's just sad that the changes are almost always pvp oriented. What ever happened to things like "Shotguns are under performing in pve, so we're doubling their damage"? Changes like this haven't been seen in ages
-
I would like the option to turn off aim assist so I can see how much it helps or not. The eirene doesn't have much aa right? You don't run into many of those. It works great in both modes.
-
Not sure if you have an efrideets from year 1, but that thing has extremely low aim assist. Definitely a good sniper to compare
-
I'd love to have an eirene, you don't see very many because the gunsmith refuses to sell it. And yes, it has much lower aim assist
-
It does especially when the ammo is barely dropping as is

Editado por Edro Tronyx: 4/16/2016 4:52:40 AMLiars. They blamed it on PvP too. Silly because I still have as much ammo in PvP as I did before. Edit: not total, but can still spawn in with 12 rounds.

Editado por Sherpa: 4/16/2016 4:54:18 AMThat's what I said If it was really for pvp all they had to do was reduce the amount crates gave. They broke specials for PvE. Spindle with bonus sniper ammo only carries 17 shots compared to the old 23 and it seems ammo is dropping less frequent than before...they were trying to sneak in a way to make the raid bosses harder when in reality it just made it annoying to wait in the pause menu for a synth
