Use your Hunter Nightstalker with the Tracker perk enabled.
This will show you where all the materials and chests are in proximity of you.
Do a run around the Hull breach and the Mausoleum then go to orbit and go back and do the run again.
You should get 50 flakes within an hour.

Why would you go to orbit and waste that time? Just run laps around the mausoleum or the hull breach the chests respawn without having to go to orbit

Because the chests have a spawn time on them. Going to orbit and back in resets them. There is plenty of videos from top streamers showing that the orbit and back method is the fastest way to farm mats.

Just make the laps. It's only about an hour grind if you look up where the chests tend to spawn. It's one of the shorter grinds of this quest so you should probably get prepared.

The method I was using was the most efficient according to the walkthrough. So ill try the rounds but time is not my friend lmao
