Yeah indeed!
I have around 30+ exotic engrams vaulted.. 12th of april will be interesting and can't come soon enough.

I have 26 now. I just want to get a lucky raspberry to drop at like 325-330 that would make it worth it. Or a universal remote, I have 6 primary engrams so I feel like I have a good shot at that

The raspberry was by far one of the ugliest armor pieces but god damn if it wasn't one of the most useful for y1 blade dancing

No, not at all. I saved up engrams last time and got newly released exotics in December. Stands to reason it would work the same this time. It's not dlc it's an update there's a difference

this is what I'm hoping for but I got an email from Bungie showing different paths to reach new mach light (basically an ad for the April update) and it shows the engrams with the ttk symbol on them, so they might be different because they raised the light level cap.

Yes, but I'm saying that all previous update did not increase the light level cap...this one does so it will [b]act[/b] like a DLC... I might be wrong but this is what makes the most sense imo.

Yes, but considering this update is adding a higher light cap and new gear then this is considered as a free dlc if you understand where I'm coming from. Any engram earned before the 12th will reward <320 engrams and all after will give up to 335.

But might your 30 engrams only get you 3 more light points if your total level is an average of 10 bits of gear? i.e. Current 320s can decrypt 9 exotic engrams at 321 before attaining level 321? Even worse, you're likely to have more of one type of engram but you'll need exactly 3 of each type to guarantee the boost otherwise you might get say multiple sets of 321 gauntlets or boots. Make sense?

Just decrypt a few at a time and check their light levels. If you are 320 and receive a 330 exotic helm (for example) infuse or equip it and you will be 321 light. Now you are guaranteed 322+. Rinse and repeat (like everything in destiny)

I just hope they pop with higher light so i can have a infusion party. I'll spread them out between my 3 chars. Gonna record it.
