Infusing always gives 80%. So 308 to 314 is a 6 unit difference. 80% of 6. : 0.6*8=4.8 which would round to 5. Your sniper should be 313 after infusing. But I just infused a 310 into my 304 1000 yard stare and it became 310 which means it was full credit. Either way, your sniper will either be 313 or 314. Doesn't matter which value. One attack unit will not make a difference.

I think if you have leveled up the weapon that you are using to infuse you get a better result.

The formula is different for legendaries and exotics. For legendaries - that formula goes into effect whenever the different is greater than 6. Infusing a 306 into a 300 legndary will always result in a 306. But infusing a 307 into a 300 will also result in a 306, because the formula takes effect.

It's became 314 so yes
-
No it doesn't... I've had plenty of items with a level difference and still infuse all the way.
-
He already replied that it got to 314. Dude there are calculators out for this and they are correct 100 percent of the time. There was a zero percent chance his gun would have infused to 313. Please don't give people bad information.
-
Nope. For legendaries that formula begins when the difference between the items is greater than 6. With a six light level difference the item will always improve by 6. For exotics the formula occurs above 4.
Nope. For legendaries that formula begins when the difference between the items is greater than 6. With a six light level difference the item will always improve by 6. For exotics the formula occurs above 4.
Unless it's an exotic into an exotic, then the cut off is 5. Similar for exotic into legendary, instead of cut off at 6, it's 7. So, infusing a 303 legendary with a 310 exotic will give a 310 legendary. And of course, the result will never be less of a change than the cut off. e.g. Blue into exotic has cut off of 4. If you use one with difference of 5, then 0.7x5 = 3.5 and destiny always rounds down, but you still get an increase of 4. But yeah kind of sucks that infusing a 310 into a 305 exotic still gives the 309 that a 309 would, unless of course the donor is also an exotic.

That's exactly what I wrote. Please work on your reading comprehension.

Editado por Reiisan: 10/28/2015 3:30:48 PM
That's exactly what I wrote. Please work on your reading comprehension.
No it wasn't. You wrote that it was 6 for legendary, but it can be 7 if a higher exotic is infused. Likewise you didn't mention that exotic into exotic is 5, you only mentioned 4.
-
No that's wrong. Infusing a 305 exotic into a 300 exotic nets a 304. You are wrong. Sorry. Go try it out.

Now bored of this. Let's just agree to disagree. Next thread

Infusing a 307 exotic into a 300 legendary nets a 306.
Infusing a 307 exotic into a 300 legendary nets a 306.
Prove it with a video or it remains your opinion. I don't have a 307 exotic to run the example you use, but I did infuse a duplicate 310 Monte Carlo into a 302 raid pulse drop and it came out at 309. Difference of 8 and 8x0.8 is 6.4 which rounds to 6, but it changed by 7 i.e. the cut off is 7 for exotic into legendary.

Bro... There's a calculator... This argument can be avoided
Bro... There's a calculator... This argument can be avoided
If you can link me a calculator that's always right, please do. The few I have tried online have been wrong on several occasions. Any that don't ask the quality (rare, legendary, exotic) of both items involved in the infusion will be wrong in at least 2, possibly 4 out of 6 combinations.

I second this.
