Hey Bungie,
As a quick word of advice, YOU ARE THE DEVELOPERS WHO MADE YOUR GAMES.
Your big wigs and fat cats who THINK they had a single solitary hand in making the content I and so so many others have enjoyed for so long are delusional
Lay-offs again, after what appears to be a genuinely successful expansion. This is not the way to do things.
I dont frankly care for any of the corporate buzz word bs your ceo spouts or justifications they half heartedly plea
"It's such a difficult decision", kick rocks. You know who it's more difficult for? The people losing their jobs that don't make 100s of 1000s of dollars sitting with their thumb up their nose all day. Playing at being important to the game making process.
I am so sick of this. I genuinely genuinely thought that you learned your lesson from the last round.
I would bet top dollar that not a single member of management or corporate leadership was in that set of 220.
You are done bungie. And what's worse is it's off the back of an expansion I really, truly thought brought us back to the place we were I'm witch queen or forsaken. But no. This is still the same bungie that gave us lightfall.
I dunno what else to say. But I know that I am now officially done with destiny 2. If this is how your company treats the people who make you your money.
Then I'd rather give my money to another company.
I dont do this, im not the type that screams from the mountain tops "I'm not playing anymore". But I think this really is the end.

1 ReplyIt wasn't successful. It didn't even come close to the numbers they hoped for. And from what I've read (not 100% confirmed) the layoffs were to overpaid managers and upper level people who wernt doing anything.

Cool. See you after 1 pm. Do you remember if Nightfall will have double rewards?

2 RepliesI would argue the expansion is not successful at all. Too many players purchased, played and then left as the game is more of lightfall. Art is OK, story is meh and game play is the same garbage as last season with worse mechanics and immunity phases on EVERYTHING! Bait an switch on the legendary class item. The whole thing is a waste! The seasons are supposed to be about the echos of the witness dying, but this is all about a gay relationship. Oh and some chick no one remembers from last year because her part was so minor. Bungie is failing because they know they did bad last year but doubled down for who know what reason.
-
1 ReplyNot successful. If it was successful Bungie would not be laying off. Success requires making a profit. They haven't even come close to breaking even. Bungie has been lying to you.

1 ReplySad day O7 it was good while it lasted 🍻

11 RepliesTake a look at the economy buddy. This post is tone deaf. It's not as simply as just keeping people because you like them.

Edited by x-MISANTHROPIC-x: 8/1/2024 2:46:50 PMI always felt a cull was incoming after the six month delay to TFS. Some would have been factored in through natural project downman. Some will have been fired due to performance issues.
Then I'd rather give my money to another company.
Every western game company has an over spending, under profit problem and that's why layoffs are happening everywhere.
