It wasn't successful. It didn't even come close to the numbers they hoped for. And from what I've read (not 100% confirmed) the layoffs were to overpaid managers and upper level people who wernt doing anything.

Neither did Forsaken. Yet thats considered a success by critics and fans. So the execs are squirming. Nothing new. Not meeting absurd expectations doesn't mean something isn't a success. That's a ridiculous notion.
