So Bungie is not going to admit in the patch this week that they did wrong on the Warlock Stasis overall nerf?

Nice slap in to the face to all people in the community who made good and fair solutions to increase freeze to 2 seconds and make stasis meele range to 20 meters.

  • Better hurry up with this fix Bungie. This isn't just some popular weapon like Witherhoard you've disabled but an entire class on the only subclass that seems to matter for BL. GET ON WITH IT.

  • I’m a warlock main and I’m glad they nerfed this subclass. It was way way way to strong in PvP. Stop crutching the melee to win fights.

      • Go watch the latest hunter streamer dodge and toss a knife to freeze his opponents is crucible while he taunts them with an emote multiple times before killing them. Where is the: "This new hunter ability is OP" title on the video, you ask? You won't see it because he is a hunter.

        • The freeze duration is solely a PvP change. Funny enough, there are certain enemies in PvE that have cold snap as the freeze type they do, and the freeze duration from that is also reduced. Aside from that, there is virtually no difference in how Shadbinder plays, and it is still easily better than the other two stasis classes thanks to its aspects and, dear mother of god, four fragment slots compared to the hunter's current two and the titan's current three. The super lasted way too long, even for PvE, and it is incredibly easy to use and very strong thanks to the lack of effort needed compared to the damage it does. I say this as a Titan main, and it honestly feels like treason.

                That stasis melee now is so hilarious!! Every time I use it I remember that meme/clip of that Latino guy laughing his ass off. The super is so cheap and slow. At the end of the day the warlock has a..... grenade! and that’s only until he has more fragments available than the other two. What a joke.

              • The melee nerf definitely seemed rather heavy handed. Overall though, the freeze mechanic had too much utility for too little effort. So, something had to be done.

              • I just ignore the melee now. My armor is specced to high discipline like it is with all the other classes, and melee is something I use once in a while, not the focus of my build. If you play the stasis class all out for supers and for grenade recharge, it's still very effective and pretty fun. For instance, duskfield grenade draws in the red bars to the center, and a wave frame grenade launcher erases them. The melee ability is dogshit, yes, and I'm offended on a personal level that Bungie screwed my main PvE character that hard without lube, but it's still a playable element.

              • I’ll admit the range nerf does kind of hurt. In pvp I can’t use ophidians with stasis as the 4 m window honestly feels pretty small. It definitely takes a lot more adjusting now to get a better feel of it.

                • All I have to say is I don't understand why everyone is freaking out on these forums like they killed the class. Most warlocks are still either running shadebinder or dawnblade. Shadebinder is still a top tier subclass right now. I see it used by tons of warlocks still in every game and it is still being used very effectively. People acting like the subclass is dead but usage and effectiveness in game is proving otherwise. For the record, im on board with reverting the melee range back to its original distance. All the other nerfs were warranted though (speed, blast radius, freeze duration)
