Screen Hitching since Fall Creators update

CPU: Tyzen 5 1600x GPU: GTX 1070 Monitor: Dell 144hz Gsync model Memory: 16gb So all my drivers are updated, but ever since the Windows 10 Fall Creators update i'm getting really noticeable screen hitching. Before this, no problems and the FPS counter still reads 80+ fps. I'd really love to know what is up.

  • Hi there, Are you still encountering this issue? Have you already attempted any troubleshooting steps? If you have not already, you may want to try the following troubleshooting steps: 1) Close and relaunch the Destiny 2 client and Blizzard application 2) Delete your existing CVARS.xml file using the guide here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46407

    • Does it behave like my description here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/237941656?sort=0&page=0 Does it look like the video I uploaded: https://youtu.be/x0glwI9pGGc I'd appreciate a reply on my thread if it's similar so it gets more exposure on the front page.

I'm just gonna chime in with my info on this one. I'm experiencing exactly the same issue, however it's been an issue since the latest hotfix. Before the hotfix, i was constantly getting the "buffalo" error code, that's not an issue anymore for me. Instead i'm getting some really noticable screen stutters or frame freezes that wasn't there before. All my drivers are up to date with the latest screen driver. I'm getting 120+ fps, and no fps drops, but the frame freezes for 1-2 seconds, sometimes longer. • Its not the Windows update, it's the game after patches 1.0.6.1 / 1.0.6.2 I assume that by "screen hitching" you mean noticeable stutter, that is not related to your fps.
