Can someone please help me with Grimoire?
I was hoping people could look at my Grimoire and tell me what I can do to get my Score above 3k in the easiest possible way. It sits at 2915 after getting the Scout Rifle and Sniper kills rank during the NF his am. I see I need to play as a Warlock more to get the kills as a Warlock. I need less than 300 AR and SG kills. I need to kill 53 Minotaurs, 10 Hydras, and 69 Centurions. I need to complete 8 more raids, play 21 more clash matches, and win 10 more elimination rounds.
But after doing my closest bonuses, I will only gain 40 more. I need Patrol VIP kills, whatever that means. All the rest of my bonuses aren't very close. So what I was hoping is that there are some easy cards to unlock that I haven't done yet. They all just say "unlock by playing Destiny." I could look up each one, but it would take a while.
I don't need a detailed explanation of how to do it, but just please point me in the right direction of which cards are the easiest to unlock so I can take care of the rest on my own.
Thank you in advanced. And to cover my bases since I know I will hear it I am sorry I offended you by being a scrub because I do not have a 3k Grimoire score. I hear it all the time. Sorry that you cannot deal with my scrubiness and I am trying to fix it so that all of you tough guys can sleep easier.

In your case, hunt ghosts. destinyghosthunter is a great reference for finding them. While you're hunting ghosts, use destinytracker and make sure to shoot your way through enemies using the different weapon types, spend some time going after Cabal enemy types, and do the Queen's bounties. You can get the grimoire for the Queen's bounties without the bounty being active, just go to the area during patrol and the enemy will show up or be there. Despite how everyone says grimoire only indicates how many ghosts that you found it is only 540 points or about 15% of the current overall points. Completing the kill [enemy] or kills with [weapon] will total almost 1000 points. By the way you're VIP kills are either the public event eliminate target and/or the kill order patrols.

VIP patrols kills are the patrol bounties that have a star within a circle.

look up your name in destinytracker.com go to checklist; click grimoire checklist; then click show missing. Ideally you want to finish the ones near completion while using weapons that you don't have grimoire done for. After that you want to go ghost hunting, then work on the long tedious grimoire assignments like 250 ogres.

21 RepliesHello guardian, I'm a max Grimoire score player, and here's a few tips to help you on your Grimoire hunt. First, grab the ghosts. It isn't as much score as people think, but it's still crucial, and it reveals the story. Second, complete the fallen hunted section of your Grimoire, I'm pretty sure each of these cards are worth 10 score. Third, hop into crucible, and grab the three remaining crucible arena cards available. Fourth, for ogre kills, run the Shrine of Oryx mission, on it's lowest difficulty. Kill the ogre that is before Sardok, then wipe, and repeat this process. Fifth, for Hydra kills, head to the black garden gate on Mars. Sit on the rocks with a sniper, ideally Icebreaker, and a scout rifle. The hydra should respawn every 20-30 seconds, note you should kill all ads. Sixth, if you just complete eight raids there is your raid Grimoire done, for this, I recommend running the Crota's end final fight eight times, as it is quick and easy to do. Seventh, for all weapon type kills, for example, auto rifle, side arm, shotgun, etc. head to the dark beyond, here you will be multi tasking. Activate a black wax idol, there's your glimmer, keep your inventory clear, there's your weapon parts and class material, and of course, the XP. Eight, Grimoire hunting is a grind, but it's fun. Don't overload yourself, the best thing to do is, just run it in bits, for example, I'll get 500 kills on the dark beyond, or 50 hydra kills. It is all good doing a grind session, in fact you will want to do certain things all at once, but remember, have fun. Ninth, have fun, it's a grind, but do your best to have fun. Tenth, do the PVP Grimoire in sessions, do like five or ten wins a day, personally I went bonkers and just spammed 20-30 wins a day, would have been more but I was finishing it as House of Wolves released. Check destinytracker.net and also the best way to get all the grimore is use the guns you don't usually use in strikes and find all the ghost if you give me your gt and platform i'll look into detail for you to give you advice on the easiest way to do it (im still working on mine im at 3425 I think)

I'd suggest using Destiny Tracker, it will show you exactly which dead ghosts you're missing. Then you can branch out from there by going for specific enemies and strikes. Destiny Tracker can also filter out the cards to show you only the ones you're missing.

I dunno if someone posted this or not but go to this website: destinytracker.com Put your gamertag and go to Checklists>Grimoire That will tell you exactly where you sit on all categories of grimoire and which ones are you close to complete. Besides hunting the ghosts with destinyghosthunter.net Destiny Tracker is your best bet. I've been hell bent on grimoire and thanks to there two I sit now at 3505 at the top of my friends and hoping to push higher soon. Good luck!!!

Patrol VIP kills is the eliminate the target patrol missions. Indicated by the symbol above the beacon being a circle with cross hairs I believe. Other than that destinyghosthunter.com to get all the ghosts. The rest is grind. Also I believe the POE 32, 34, and 35 count as raids.

9 RepliesI agree with the others here. Ghost hunting is by far the easiest way to bump your grimoire score. FYI the ViP kills are the patrol missions that look like diamonds inside a circle. I have no idea why Bungie choose that patrol to be the only one that gives you grimoire...but never mind.

Anyway, I'd say spend a few hours ghost hunting and killing Wolf Ultras, the guys the queen sends you out to kill. Doesn't look like you've done many of those. Those alone should skyrocket you past 3k. It can actually be pretty fun. Venus has a ton of those special wolves and dead ghosts strewn about. Work on your weapon kills (MG, sidearm, etc.) while you're at it. It can be quite enjoyable. Gotta love multitasking.

Edited by JadedDark: 7/14/2015 9:20:55 PMThe enemy kills, weapon kills, and events will come with time. Instead, focus on the things you can knock out directly. Go get the ghosts, grind the crucible if you want, or actually hunt those specific game events. A lot of those I just didn't stress and they happened over time. The ghosts can be collected in an hr or so.... YouTube is your friend.
