Hello guardian, I'm a max Grimoire score player, and here's a few tips to help you on your Grimoire hunt. First, grab the ghosts. It isn't as much score as people think, but it's still crucial, and it reveals the story. Second, complete the fallen hunted section of your Grimoire, I'm pretty sure each of these cards are worth 10 score. Third, hop into crucible, and grab the three remaining crucible arena cards available. Fourth, for ogre kills, run the Shrine of Oryx mission, on it's lowest difficulty. Kill the ogre that is before Sardok, then wipe, and repeat this process. Fifth, for Hydra kills, head to the black garden gate on Mars. Sit on the rocks with a sniper, ideally Icebreaker, and a scout rifle. The hydra should respawn every 20-30 seconds, note you should kill all ads. Sixth, if you just complete eight raids there is your raid Grimoire done, for this, I recommend running the Crota's end final fight eight times, as it is quick and easy to do. Seventh, for all weapon type kills, for example, auto rifle, side arm, shotgun, etc. head to the dark beyond, here you will be multi tasking. Activate a black wax idol, there's your glimmer, keep your inventory clear, there's your weapon parts and class material, and of course, the XP. Eight, Grimoire hunting is a grind, but it's fun. Don't overload yourself, the best thing to do is, just run it in bits, for example, I'll get 500 kills on the dark beyond, or 50 hydra kills. It is all good doing a grind session, in fact you will want to do certain things all at once, but remember, have fun. Ninth, have fun, it's a grind, but do your best to have fun. Tenth, do the PVP Grimoire in sessions, do like five or ten wins a day, personally I went bonkers and just spammed 20-30 wins a day, would have been more but I was finishing it as House of Wolves released. Eleventh, HAVE FUN. Hope this quick personalised to you guide is useful, and benefits you. I spent quite a while looking at your Grimoire, and thinking of how you should improve it. Good luck guardian, and good day.

  • Have fun, lol. Everything for grimoire is mindless grinding, it's not fun at all.

  • It's not as hard as you think, there are a lot of boosters. I recommend taking a couple of friends to patrol the map to prevent the boosters, agree that if you come across your friends that they don't kill you, just distinguish your characters. If you don't have anyone, and enter a booster lobby, just find their boosting spot, kill them, then hold the spot. Most boosters are so thick they will keep coming back, as to them it's their boosting spot. Just let them feed you.

  • Thanks man for the share. I am in the last stretch for max grimoire. (i have 3615) The 100 rumble wins is probably gonna be the hardest for me. I am a terrible crucible player.

  • Thank you so much man, this will really help. I have decided after I get Flawless Raider, I'm going to try to max out my Grimoire. It would be a nice change of pace to hunt Grimoire.

  • Remember, some Grimoire is a case of, an all night grind, VIO kills for example, that's something that you only do if you're in the mood, so smash it out, but for PVP, take it easy. Have fun.

  • Thanks man, always happy to help people, max Grimoire players aren't elitists like everyone thinks, we are actually more geared toward the community than people realise, and we are usually more than happy to help, just leave us a message, and we will always try to help. As long as we get respect, we will always help, but start giving us crap, then we give it back.

  • That is the same with everyone, talk crap and receive crap. Once you earn a max Grimoire, how hard is it to keep it. Do they add much in the DLCs? it would suck to max it only to have it be obsolete in September and then I will want to play the new parts of the game rather than hunt more Grimoire. But if they only add a few things, it shouldn't be too hard.

  • So what happens is that, in this DLC it went from 2945 to 3665. This is mostly gained by playing through the story and end game content, with a couple of side quests here and there, I'm not sure how it will work in The taken king, but I'm pretty sure it will be similar, the only thing is, you will need to grind for any new weapon types, and probably the new game mode/modes. Maxing your Grimoire before a DLC helps a lot, as once it drops, you will only need a few things.

  • At a 2nd glance, I have all the HOW and TDB Grimoire (minus sidearm kills and Wolf kills) so it shouldn't be too hard. You are right, it must have been mostly from playing the story.

  • Indeed, you'll be at 3000 before the end of the night, in fact it shouldn't take more than an hour and a half, each wolf hunted is worth 10, I believe, and the crucible maps are worth 5. Make sure you are in the right PVP playlist for the maps you need.

Is there a site where I can see what maps are in each playlist? I was wondering why there were maps I had never heard of. It sucked when ToO was on a map I had never played before. Thanks again, I'm about to leave work. I'll post back here when I am at 3k.

  • I'm such a nice guy I've done it for you. You are missing First light, Bastion, and Skyshock, all are found in the combined arms playlist. Combined arms is a rotating mode which is only available for a limited time, and comes at random times for the week.
