No I completely disagree for one main solid reason. When I leveled up my first warlock I had no legendary gear to put on him to increase his light level. I played crucible however with my max titan and got some warlock gear that was rare. So think about this I play crucible until I get full sets of legendary gear that all gives me light. So without spending vanguard or crucible marks I have achieved light lvl 30+. That just makes no sense and would allow people to skip levels so fast as opposed to doing it right. The rare armor it gives me is fine, I can get to lvl 25 or 26 with it, quit complaining go do vog and get legendary gear there

Edited by Somebody: 7/3/2015 5:02:05 PMI actually like getting rare armor and/or rare engrams for the materials for my legendaries, but I get where you are going with the "Give us legendary armor only if we're 28+". I'd say if they put legendary armor in, it should be the same as getting legendary weapons so it'll be fair to some people and to others if you wanted materials from rares. I'm still signing it because I really want legendaries. :D Have A Nice Day!

In response to your argument against those of us who like the materials.... Yes we get that part...we know engrams give you rare armor anyways and a chance at motes...but you're still basically saying give me less materials....motes of light are honestly a useless commodity at times (unless you roll weapons constantly)....but if you were to spend the ridiculous price for The Taken King expansion you'd realize that materials might come in handy for re-rolling armor.....just like how weapon parts are useful for rolling stats...You're whole argument makes no sense...then again I just looked at your character list...talk to me when you have all 34's....

we need the parts for upgrades...

I want the materials so no

I like it when Rare items drop. It gives me a good source of Weapon Parts, Plasteel Plating, Sapphire Wite, Hardonic Essence. So, I am against what you are petitioning.

I want all of you that are saying rare armor is good for materials to realize that rare engrams give you armor AND weapons that you can happily dismantle for materials!
-
I agree it's a pain because it's stuck at level 28
-
It's useful for material...

No I find rare engrams useful I've only had destiny for just a little over a month and getting motes of light and strange coins from rare engrams is very helpful. Unlike other players that started in the first few months of destiny I don't own every exotic or have 300+ shards and energy to make into motes. And I find getting every exotic xur sells on Fridays impossible if it wasn't for rare engrams.

Have you noticed the strength of the rare armor? It's pretty strong compared to what it was a few months ago. At least from what I see in my vault. The same rare armor I have in my vault is weaker than what I've been getting from crucible matches. It's not as strong as legendary, but it is pretty close. Not sure if it has something to do with TTK coming out soon ?
