Titan Pulse Grenades Kill You In <1 Second

There is no other grenade in the game that can do that. Buff the other grenades.

  • Yeah, people literally walk through my nades while playing Hunter and seem to take very low damage. When there's a pulse nade everyone evades the area like its the plague! It stays around forever, has huge AOE, and does a ton of damage. The other side of the argument is that it gives Titan an edge in that regard. Other classes have theirs too. What else does a Titan do that stands out as OP? Warlocks have very fast healing, healing rift, and blink. Blink is probably the best jump for PvP. Hunters have dodge to go invisible, an extra nade/axe to throw, radar or enemy markers, and high movement for strafing in PvP.

    • Speaking of grenades I love how a Voidwalker can chuck an Axion Bolt and it doesn't activate unless your opponent is practically underneath the initial explosion. I think I've been killed by an Axion Bolt maybe three times total since I started D2.

        • No way. The other classes have much better things, like they arent slow. This affects all game play, swords, evasion, relocation. Titans need to have the best super and best grenades to be balanced in this game where AR duals mean making 1 shot miss completely negates 8 points of Resilience. Average 450 RPM bullet= 23 DMG with a level 0 being 165ish hp and level 9 being 195ish. Add HCR rounds and the fact a Mida does 44 HP head and yo usee why they need better nades. Titans are area denial experts. Hunters -blam!- in open and close range like no other. Warlocks have blink and Melee health regen and with swords all 1 hit killing blink is insane.

It hit you half damage then kill you on second time. Pulse grenade hit you times then kill you on 3rd time. Seem pulse grenade is little faster on destiny 2 than destiny 1.

                    • Here's the thing: If you hit someone directly with a Pulse Grenade, it is not necessarily an instant kill. If they are damaged, it probably is. If they can't get away, it probably is. If you hit someone with a sticky grenade, its always an instant kill. That should not be the case. The 'one hit kill' META of D1 was left behind for a reason. Shotguns, Snipers, Fusion Rifles, Heavy Machine Guns, all these things were changed or removed to rid the game of the 'easy mode' Crucible. That 'easy mode' Crucible promoted advantage leveraging that made interactive gunfights less common. In Destiny, kills come from skill, and teamwork. In D2, the emphasis on less powerful abilities adds more interaction and reaction to situations, which makes the game more skill intense. For example, camping with a shotgun kills instantly, and is not skill intense. Camping with an SMG, kills quickly, while still offering outs to the opponents. There is more opportunity for skilled play without feeling like abilities are too powerful. People say that skill was removing from Crucible in D2. That's not what happened. The game is more forgiving of 'mistakes' or disadvantages, but skill remains as relevant as ever. Teamwork is only more relevant because abilities are less relevant due to damage and cooldowns. 'Teamshooting' in Destiny 1 was far more difficult to handle than in D2, its just more common in D2 because of how much more efficient it is. With all that being said, Grenades probably need to be buffed in damage, but Resilience needs to be more relevant as well. If Grenades go back to D1 levels, we go back to a META dominated by Warlocks. D2 doesn't need to be reverted to D1, it needs to progress and realize its actual vision for gameplay. D1s vision of gameplay was finally realized in AoT, from what I heard, and D2 needs to have the same thing, but it should be done faster. Its already started off in better shape, and needs only minor adjustments, including Grenade effectiveness, to really realize its vision.

                      • I get killed by those things often faster than I can react to where the damage is coming from. But, I will throw one right on top of someone and it does like 19, 46, and they float away with shield leftover. The latency in this game is freaking ridiculous at times.

                        • everyone says "buff all the grenades to be as strong as pulse grenades". you really need to think of how bad the game would feel if every grenade was as strong as pulses. pulses need a nerf, other grenades do not need a buff.

                          • I'd say nerf other grenades cooldown time instead. There are some nades that should have shorter cooldowns. If they're gonna be weak in damage, let them be more often. Stronger nades like pulse nades would have the same long cooldown.

                          • While we are Buffing or UnBuffing other grenades, (hopefully amping up other ones) lets also look at color shading of grenades in Crucible. They have already done this for both Shields and Rifts, with enemy versions being slightly pink. Why can they not do that for any Area Effect Grenades like Arc Pulse, Void and Solar grenades?

                              If I throw a Pulse Grenade on someone then I should be rewarded for it. What made them bad in D1 was how easy it was to escape them due to pitiful damage output between elongated pulses. It’s not like they can move anyway. A bad throw is a wasted one I’m glad you’re advocating a buff rather than a nerf, however
