Could we get an in-game lore book? Or maybe a library in the city where we can look things up?

Go to Io and talk to Asher Mir. He has the grimoire book next to him on a pedestal. If you figure out how to get harry the hobgoblin to turn him into a vex like Mr. "Got Vex Milk?" Kabr you can shoulder charge a chest onto his head and he can't see you. sneak over and steal his book. It also improves your archery, hope this helps.

If you investigate the window on the balcony just past the bridge after banshee 44, the ghost talks about the private chambers for the speaker. The new speaker will most likely will be our own personal catalog for all the lore in the entire game. It's a hard job as you know, to know everything about destiny and "speak" it. So having an NPC with a million and a half dialogues, is going to take a while to make.

I want a hard copy lore book that would be so dope. I'd pay good money for that

Or here is a crazy idea, how about collection of lore you can view even when you are offline, like an app or something??? I know when I login to my console, I intend to play the game, not sit and read. Maybe such crazy ideas will be in D5
-
It's ironic, because when the D1 community complained that they wanted "in-game lore," THIS is what they meant, not the removal of grimoire cards altogether. Yeah, it'd be amazing if us Guardians could have our Ghosts store scans and other interesting notes in a digital library that we could access in-game, but I honestly think that it'll be up to the community to create a collection of these things online.

Seems like Cozmo has been on a little reply spree lately, of all the things I want him to look at, it's certainly this

I have a lore book! But it's very short, so bummer=( Still, I bet there is website that does exactly what your described. I understand it's not in the game, but who wants to read shit while playing anyway. Better to wind down when away from console IMO

Make sure to make this thread in the feedback forum as well. The more of us post this opinion there, the more likely Bungie will see it

Love it!

A lore book is in the game. Go visit Asher, he has it out on his stand. But no on a serious note, yes a library of some sort in the tower would be an amazing addition to the game. When we said we wanted the lore to be in the game, we don't mean completely get rid of grimoire.
-
Yep all the lore, in the game. Text format. Doesn't need to be voiced. No spiffy new vendor, no new art assets, just text.
-
im super shocked someone from our community has not made on yet since you know our community often does the footwork Bungie couldnt be bothered with doing.
-
And if they do this, they should have all of the grimoire cards from D1 plus some new entries for D2.
-
Hey, a library doesn't sound bad.

In game virtual grimoires? Or possible a character like a new speaker who recants the tales and epilogues?
