If you investigate the window on the balcony just past the bridge after banshee 44, the ghost talks about the private chambers for the speaker. The new speaker will most likely will be our own personal catalog for all the lore in the entire game. It's a hard job as you know, to know everything about destiny and "speak" it. So having an NPC with a million and a half dialogues, is going to take a while to make.

Going off of the first comment, it would be pretty tedious to do that many line recodings which bungie would realize. What would be cool is using a new speaker as a place to read the grimoire and lore stories. Like a library like others were stating before but have it presented as an NPC that lets you access those thing. idk I'm just throwing ideas out.

I'd rather read something than hear it spoken. That just sounds tedious. If I want to go back to an earlier part of the card (or whatever it'd be called) you'd have to start the whole thing over or rewind. Plus the cost and time to actually make something like that. It's in everyone's best interest to just have text.

That's a great prediction to make, but there hasn't been any indication that the new Speaker will take up that role. I have a hard time believing Bungie really cares enough to do something like that.
