United thread for PS4 Corrupted data Reinstalling and New update PLEASE BUMP SO BUNGIE KNOWS HOW MANY ARE BEING AFFECTED

If you are having this issue please bump and leave a comment this is simply to let bungie know how many people are being affected. UPDATE: After talking to most everyone in the forums I have found out that most everyone having this issue have bought all previous DLC and purchased the standalone ROI add-on instead of Destiny the Collection. This is a big factor in the issue at hand. (Sending SOS signals to Bungie..) UPDATE 2: I am hearing from a couple different people that if your service provider is MEDIACOM then you could be having issues downloading stuff from psn servers. Does anyone else run MEDIACOM? (that is my service provider) UPDATE 3: I want to thank everyone for there input every little clue will help us diagnose the problem. UPDATE 4: Ok so this seems to be isolated with MEDIACOM's service. This sounds crazy but if we all call MEDIACOM our collective inquiry may get a solution to this network issue. UPDATE 5: Dawn of the 4th day without Destiny, Not heard a whole lot on a game plan or anything on either side. There are confirmed reports of people using Verizon and ATandT hotspots also confirmed on Comcast ISP, if you have access to any of those options I would try them out. Also feel free to make friends in this time of crisis and corruption. If anyone has found anything else let me know, ill be searching most of the day today (updated 9/22) UPDATE 6: So I have heard multiple times that you need to wipe the console or your HDD is messed up, these are all false forms of trying to diagnose a problem in there networking. Nothing is wrong with your console people its how your ISP communicates with PSN. Please just try another ISP I can confirm that it is in fact Mediacoms connection or a combination of Console updates not working with the Application updates regardless my brothers Frontier connection is getting farther then mine ever did. Check back later to find out if it downloads successfully (should be around 6hrs from now slow connection speed). UPDATE 7: Just got off the phone with Sony (7th time) the rep I spoke to a couple days ago gave me a list of port numbers to activate so I opened the ports no big deal didn't see any change. The rep I just spoke with today informed me that the other rep gave me the wrong port numbers she also stated that these new port numbers should work 100% if not then they will escalate it to there engineering team. The list of port numbers are (She said you have to have all ports open for it to work): TCP - 80, 443, 465, 993, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080, 9293, 10050, 10051, 10040-10060 UDP - 2053, 3478, 3479, 3658, 6000-7000, 9304, 9296, 9297, 9303, 10070, 50000-60000 Try these out and tell me if they work, I am going to let my download finish on FRONTIER ISP but please let me know if you have any success with these. (Also take note of your IP address when you get these set up you need to make a custom connection for them to be active) UPDATE 8: JUST HAD A BREAKTHROUGH! Ok so I used my brothers Frontier ISP to start my download when I went back to check on it I seen that it was going to take 66hrs to install (he runs 800kb : <) so I ended up pausing the download at 2gb took my console home to just trouble shoot again I used my smaller ethernet cable its a cat6 ran that to my ps4 and resumed the download at my place (60mb per second) I figured it would give me an error but it is chugging along got about 5 hours left! If this works Im going to freak out. Also on another smaller note I have contacted Sony one last time in a ditch effort to pull information out of them. I ended up escalating it to there engineering sector they are calling Bungie and told me to contact them in about 3 hours to hear the results, I stressed to Sony how we don't really have a dedicated customer support on Bungie's site so the lady said they would contact them for us. I will make the call later if others are still having issues I WANT EVERYONE TO BE ABLE TO PLAY AND NOT FEEL SO HOPELESS ABOUT THIS ISSUE CAUSE WE ARE NOT HEARING A GAME PLAN! UPDATE 9: I played last night so it is a definite confirm on the ISP jumping method, just pay close attention to where your download freezes (this is a huge factor). Use your alternate form of internet to jump passed those points then switch to your original ISP. Some of the points that most people run into are the 207.5mb and 17gb ranges. Just stick with it you will be able to play if you run this method. I wish everyone luck and hopefully we get to play sometime. PS I would like to add a lot of people from this thread as friends on PS4, just in case we have another issue like this we can work together again to find a solution.     • For those who use Mediacom for their internet, it appears that a substantial portion of the problem stems from this particular ISP. Just ran the entire 48GB download for the collection at a friend's place for my SO's PS4, and it finished the entire thing in a matter of about 4 hours. Bribe your buddies and steal their web for half a day, and things should be up and running from there! Good luck, and hope to see some of you in the Plaguelands!

        NOBODY will like this idea. Who researched the error code for the corrupt data? I thought about and tried re downloading a couple games and got the same issue. So... The following year information is from the PlayStation website. This will wipe your PlayStation hard drive and I recommend not doing "quick". ---------------------------------------------------- Error Code: CE-36244-9, CE-37732-2 Downloaded data may have been corrupted during the download process Suggestion 1: Step 1: Delete the content from Home Screen. Step 2: Restart the system. Step 3: Re-download the content from the Library. Suggestion 2: If the error occurs again, review your local network settings. You can try change to a static IP and/or change your DNS server connection. Suggestion 3: If the error occurs again there may be an issue with the PS4's hard drive (HDD). If you're using the original HDD, Go to [Settings] > [Initialization] > [Initialize PS4] and try the PS4 initialization. If you have previously changed the HDD, try using the original HDD. Suggestion 4: If none of these suggestions resolve the error, please contact SCEA for additional technical support. ------------------------------------------ It didn't work!!!

        • It is now after 5pm PST, so we probably wont be getting any updates (if at all) till Monday at the earliest. It's weird that a few Xbox accounts get a "boar" error and both Bungie and Xbox tweet out that it's being worked on. But the problem we have been having has been going on for 5 days now, and both Sony and Bungie just blame each other, nothing on twitter, and just an "add-on" to the known issues thread that hasn't been updated in over 48 hours. The "work-arounds" work for some, but not for others, and some don't have the ability to use them due to ISP limitations, or location. I am also hearing that a few Xbox people are having the same issue also, and yet nothing, silence. This has been escalated up the ladder at Mediacom, but not everyone who is getting this error is on Mediacom. Something is going on here be it a coding error, a packaging error when the update was sent out to platforms, a "glitch in the matrix" or something else, but it just seems with the lack of communication this thread is just going to be buried and forgotten. In the last 24 hours this thread has almost been pushed to page 2 due to some legitimate posts, but also some really frivolous posts that somehow have the ability to be "more important" than people that can't even download an update to play the game to see if anything is missing, or if everything is there. We need an update from someone on whats going on, and no more of this passing the buck and hoping it will go away. Getting a refund is one thing, but it admits to everyone involved that you just give up and are moving on, while some of us still want to play the game that we like and paid for. This was going to be a short snarky post, but my mind just took off....

        • Let's try this again. I'm currently clearing my system cache. I'll download a full GB, maybe just a little more from my mobile hotspot then switch to my mediacom and try to finish. Will be posting updates here so check back often.

            • Seems like a lot of people are finding work arounds by using an alternate ISP, or a hot spot. But for those of us that don't have those options Mediacom is the only ISP in my town, and I have to use wifi to be able to use my phone due to really poor cell phone service, it seems we may never get help now...

                • It is a mediacom issue. Perhaps not all of the things wrong, but the 1.28 patch I believe is. Just went and downloaded the patch at a friend's, and even though I had to download all 32g of it, it went through just fine. Reasonably quickly. So if you're still hung up, don't delete the game. That was my mistake. Just find a different isp to download the patch. I know, easier said than done. But there is hope. Just to make sure I went home and plugged everything back in, worked like a charm.

                • From the sound of it fellow guardians if you can find a way to download patch 1.28 on some other internet source it should allow you to go back to your Mediacom internet and finish the download... I recommend at least downloading 1-2 gbs of the download to assure you got all of patch 1.28 ... hopefully all the tips and tricks we have found can be sent to destiny and they can find a quicker way to fix these revolving issues we are facing... I look forward to everyone getting to play and I also want to think the main guy of this thread and everyone else who tried finding every solution possible... if it wasn't for you few I don't think we would have some clarity as to what is wrong... THANK YOU

I have hope that I could possibly spend time on my day off tomorrow playing. I'm going to try the porting tonight and using my phone to jump start the download if that doesn't help.

                    • Same problem here. Glad to know it isn't just us. We purchased the SINGLE "Rise of Iron" DLC from the PSN store--NOT the bundle. Since the 1.28 update--we CANNOT download the update, or the digital version of our Destiny games, or any of the previous DLC. Basically, as of this very moment, we are unable to play Destiny since the ROI release. We too are located in central Illinois & Mediacom is our ISP. We also play Destiny on Xbox1 whenever PSN goes down, but barely getting thru HoW on Xbox1. All my good stuff is on PS4 Destiny. Its like starting from scratch--but at least I'm playing. We bought the bundle on Xbox1 & it plays with no problems. Issues seems to be with the SINGLE ROI DLC & not the bundle. I'm gonna try the port forwarding, & hopefully the PSN store will have this corrected by next reset. I'll keep checking these forums for updates--thanks for the info.                         well good news got to 1 gb download on a mobile hotspot but i cannot download 31 gbs on my data 15 gb max i have verizon what i did was as soon as it was preparing i went into rest mode waited about 5 mins kicked it back on and it was at 500mbs so gonna try now to reset my modem and try the rest on mediacom wish me luck lol update just got my modem going so here we go should i do easy setup or custom with google dns idk what to do lol help update2 after the 1 gb download on my hotspot from verizon on 4g lte on a galaxy s6 curved i paused the download rebooted my modem (mediacom modem) and router (netgear blackhawk d7000) on standard setup then on my ps4 i went to easy setup for wifi. i am now 3 hour left 1.374 gb/30.234 gbs i hope this info can help anyone and i pray this keeps going i will post when done or if it stops if anyone has a question just ask thanks so much. 2.700 gb still going 4 gbs 7gbs 118 mins left yay 11 gbs i think im good now thanks everyone 60 mins left at 21 gigs
