Community has spoken on arm bands
I've noticed that the community is coming together in a sense, and they have spoken, The warlock arm bands are simply lack luster, and seem like they were and after thought while the other 2 classes' received flashy pieces of class armor that makes them stand out that much more. I'm aware that there are legendary bonds around level 20 that have holograms on them, but even those seem somewhat boring next to the other class gear that I've seen at legendary levels. Most of the arm bands that were in the better had little to no variation and many people have spoke out and even switched classes for this reason. I've left a poll that includes some ideas that have been thrown around for a possible change. Personally I feel that extending the arm band to a full sleeve would be a nice fix, others think that we should get a shoulder piece or a hood, and even others have brought up the idea of being able to change the color of your abilities like your grenade, melee, and nova bomb.

4 RepliesFunny, I don't even play Warlock and I think the band is just not enough. My hunter has this Badass cape, my Titan buddy has one of them cool lookin'skirt and my other Warlock Pal just feels and looks naked

3 RepliesNo hood. That's the hunters class armor. I say a full sleeve or maybe the warlock could be the one class that can take it's helmet off anytime it wants. Even outside the tower. Then the class armor could be some cool looking visors like in mass effect.

I think there should be special hologram or Void Light pieces that you can equip over your armor on various parts of your body.

1 ReplyIf your sole basis for playing a class is aesthetics - your doing it wrong. Play a character that relates to your play style or hone in on a build that you want to try out. While I agree that the arm bands are kind of lackluster I wouldn't not play a warlock because of it. My first choice is a hunter because I like that play style. However, I can guarantee you that I will be playing a warlock as well because I can think of some cool builds - whether they have armbands or not.

12 RepliesI think it's too late to change the entire concept of the armband, so I'll settle for an armband that's just easier to notice. For the fun of it, I'll throw my ideas around. The Warlock is described as sort of an academic/knowledge seeker. This in mind, I would have liked to see something that reflects intellectual prowess. Academic hoods, stripes and other markings on the sleeves, belts, talismans, beads, and countless other symbols exist that could have better represented the Warlock.

I totally support this. I love the Warlock class but I do wish their band was a lot more noticeable. A full sleeve and/or shoulder piece would be so awesome!

1 ReplyMy top suggestion would be to make the class armour for the warlock class actually something mystical itself. The Jedi in me would love to see a cloak option as the warlock rose through the ranks. Not a hood. A cloak that would descend and shroud the player when standing still but fly in the wind out behind you on your sparrow. Like a wizard or warlock the hood would be on the shoulder, not over the head thus differentiating the warlock from the Hunter class.

1 ReplyIn a lot of other threads i've been very much for the idea of the holographic sleeves. I believe those would be the easiest change while still looking the most mystical. We're only a few months away from release which means a new location for the class item may end up not getting enough time to be perfected. This could end up leading to a half ass item or delays. I think holographic sleeves would be the best change simply because it would allow many different patterns to extend off of the arm(s) and really give notice to the character. Also i feel that hoods are more to hunters, just like how coats are to warlocks.

1 ReplyI feel like the warlock should get something more showy, but the armband has a bit more symbolism to it. And has potential, they could add something large and in charge that catches the eye of others while still having it's idea behind it. Otherwise, yeah warlocks could have something larger

I like warlock's style and hope they don't change too much, the idea is for them to look like ww1 soldiers which means a more sober and mature look and not dressed like some kid playing make-believe(yes thats you iron banner hunters).

1 ReplyIt never even crossed my mind to change the color of my nova bomb. This concept reminds me of Warframe in the sense that you could change the color of your energy to whatever color you so pleased. I think this would be a fantastic idea, not just for the Warlocks, but for all three races in general.
