I think it's too late to change the entire concept of the armband, so I'll settle for an armband that's just easier to notice. For the fun of it, I'll throw my ideas around. The Warlock is described as sort of an academic/knowledge seeker. This in mind, I would have liked to see something that reflects intellectual prowess. Academic hoods, stripes and other markings on the sleeves, belts, talismans, beads, and countless other symbols exist that could have better represented the Warlock.

 • not really, they can extend the textures fairly easily, and they still have about a month and a half before release so it is possible if enough people are behind it

 • Not to be a jerk, but "extending the textures" is a really simple way of putting it, and much easier said than done. It requires a lot of code writing, and reanimating the character models to make sure the image isn't buggy. One and a half months is not much time at all considering most games take years of development. I'd love to see the armbands change, but the truth is that nothing drastic is likely to happen before the release date.

 • And they're probably all working around the clock to finish their projects. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying don't get your hopes up.

 • He's one of the directors? Meaning there's a good chance for change

 • Deej is the Community Leader. Get your facts straight. It's good Bungie noticed, but that has nothing to do with the technical process, or the the importance of changing the Warlocks armband, which is the point I was making.

 • He's the community Director actually, and yeah, it does have to do with making progress, considering he's commented on both parts of this petition, and already said the final game will include some more outlandish stuff for the warlocks, so yeah

 •
I'd like to wait and see how you like the Warlock class items in the final game. Some of them are outlandish. As a Warlock, myself, I love the arm bands. They're dignified. I didn't join this noble order for bling. That's how Hunters roll. That said, the debate about the art is awesome, so let it roll. Keep telling us what you think.
Yeah. He just said wait and see the final game, meaning they aren't changing what they already have at this point. Arguing about it is pointless anyway. It's not productive. We'll see who's right in September.

 • He's just the community manager. Who is a middle man between the community and devs. He probably just told the devs that people want something better than armbands. He doesn't really have much impact on development decisions. He just manages the community and takes in feedback and throws it over to the devs.

 • still means we're getting info to the devs which is what matters in the long run right now
