I feel like after season 8 bungie just thinks we liked menagerie because it was a 6v6 mode. Like pretty much all modes after it never lived up to it.
Vex offensive - boring, no substance, poor loot that got sunset
Sundial - slightly better, sunset loot, boring until boss fight
Override - defiantly the most boring, I’m VERY tired of gambit mechanics
Astral alignment - worst boss fights, loot was all bad (you could literally get it anywhere else), VERY boring after I got the catalyst.
Dares of eternity - no real change every run, same locations apart from bosses.
Like what’s the point of all these activities if they are just gonna be removed later and found to be boring lowest common denominator slog content after 5 clears???
I really think whatever skeleton crew is working on these bottom of the barrel activities need to move onto the strike, crucible or gambit (lmao) teams because most people would rather have more core content like new maps and strikes EVERY SEASON. Can you imagine: instead of some lame 6 or 3 man pve mode or public event, we get: crucible maps, strikes, gambit maps.
I’m not sure what else can change but the lack of innovation with the seasonal content team (NOT the story team, they are fine) is starting to get frustrating.

Yes, bring back sparrow racing. :)

Bearbeitet von Kouz_MC: 4/19/2022 6:40:39 AMTargeted loot is what’s missing to the game overall. Lost sectors: today is gauntlets. We should be able to select the exotic we want to farm. Say contraverse hold. 10% chance legend. 30% chance master. Seasonal activities: we should be able to select which weapon with pattern we want to farm. Normal mode rewards 3 risen umbral (so as is). Legend mode rewards 12 risen umbral. Reset: we get a bunch of risen umbral energies. Nightfalls: legend: we should be able to select which masterwork we want to farm. Master: masterwork and last column. GM: masterwork and last two columns. Pvp: normal: we should be able to select what weapon we want to farm. Glory: we should be able to select which masterwork we want to farm. Glory 5500: we should be able to craft/customize the seasonal pvp weapon we want. Trials same but with trials weapons. Gambit: we should be able to select what weapon and masterwork we want to farm when winning. Say 25% chance. Gambit reset: we should be able to craft a gambit weapon of our choice. I thought this game was a MMO!? Sometimes is just feels like a slot machine. I insist: “we should be able to select what we want to farm”

Bearbeitet von YouKnowTheDevil: 4/21/2022 5:31:11 PMPersonally, I love how Bungie reintroduces one of their best features with every new DLC/Season... Contacting Destiny Servers

Dares and Override are better than menagerie.
-
What do you suggest then? Bearing in mind it can only involve moving around pointing at things and shooting? Coz that basically D2 in a nut shell: move, point, shoot!
-
Bearbeitet von firerwolf: 4/20/2022 11:29:07 AMJust because you don’t like the activities doesn’t mean that others don’t like them. Get over yourself man. Not all of the game is going to suit every player. Just go play something else. P.s. there is no 6 man seasonal activity. The seasonal activity is only psi-ops.

Hallmark of a game moving towards maintenance mode. We're not there, yet, but it is looming.
-
Would like to see somthing other than hord modes
-
They need to stop throwing new activities at us every 3 months period. That content gets removed annualy anways which reflects in the quality of the seasonal throwaway content. How about actually giving us content for the playlists that are there FOREVER? LIke really weird idea but maybe, just maybe add new pvp maps every season, give all vaulted pvp maps, gambit maps and strikes back? To actually give us variety for what we are supposed to play all year? Noone would mind getting content for the pillar communities instead of another uninspired forced seasonal activity. Noone cares about half baked throwaway seasonal activity number 273.
-
This is what the players want. More activities where we can grind guns. You give me a new strike, I will just speed run it in 5 minutes. Crucible map? Majority of your players are PVE. Cater to the biggest denominator which is your PvE content raid and dungeon crowd.
-
I'm okay with most, or rather I was okay with most of those activities The awkwardness we are having now is due to their reckless removal of all inherent contents, I didn't like sundial, but its reward system was decent and that thing always remind me the 2 week intrigued period always wears off and when it does you move on to other things for the rest of the season, be it activities years old or stupid jumping puzzles seasonal activity - playlist - seasonal activity is no good game design, you do need activities that accumulate, no seasonal activities will keep you interested for 3 month
-
Bungie should look at tiny Tina’s wonderland dungeon mechanics. Its basically what prison of elders and what the forest was supposed to actually be like. The loot at the end is worth the runs too and reaching chaos level 20 in that game grants the highest chance at the best loot as well. It makes running that mode fun and exiting on top of having hidden bosses, if bungie could implement something like that then that would be great!

There's always Gambit That never gets old?
Said No one EVER!
-
Agree. Would rather have an upgrade strike playlist or crucible maps than playing dares of eternity.
-
They are appealing to the "whale" gamers, with stuff like this. I know this first-hand. My friend is a mid-40s dad of like 5. He works from home and hops on during his workday. He absolutely LOVES dares, cause he doesn't have to be good or have any sort of time commitment. I am with you though, these activities put me tf to SLEEP. The 6 man activities are especially worse, bc it feels like I don't have to really do a single thing and the activity will still complete itself. Menagerie was fun, yes. But even that got extremely boring after the 50th something run. I have hated this seasonal model since it started. I especially hated all the convoluted perk tables from the earlier seasons. It's just boring meaningless content we have to slog through to get our weapons. The stories have been phenomenal, but it's painful to even progress them with the atrocious content we have to do.
-
Just bring back POE, it was the most fun and repeatable activity, you never knew what Variks had up his 4 sleaves the next round , and the bosses had very unique mechanics

I would say WQ was a fail; eight hours of story, if that, doesn't make a good expansion. Every single piece of this season is copied from previous ones, the exact same challenges, exact same arena modes, but now with more poopy RNG built in with deep sight resonance drops. The shaping system might get better but it won't be where the player base wants it to be. The biggest pain point is leveling your shaped weapon, for me. I'm not doing the front door of Grasp, Shuro Chi adds, or the Moon mission ad infinitum to get my weapons to 16. It will not get better over the course of the year. The sandbox changes won't be enough, solar and arc 3.0 might make the game play more interesting for a while, but people will come back to cry like with void 3.0. Or, they'll come back and cry about the sandbox changes. How much more can they buff lightweight pulses? They need a ton of buffs; 10% more is a waste; lightweights in GMs are garbage. But, they can't over do it; especially if exotic pulses are included. Like Kouz_MC said; we need targeted loot and targeted pinnacles (or pinnacle tokens). I am 100% fine with grind but at least let us focus the grind on something specific. I'll take a 5% drop on Osmiomancy gloves if I know that will drop 100% of the time. Psiops rewards lets you focus weapons with an additional perk; ok that's fine, but who wants to do countless psiops to gain all that extra resonant umbral energy? I hate the mode, and now that I got all the patterns I don't want to do it anymore, even for challenges.

Please, please, please... Remove battlegrounds from the strike play list. I didn't do battlegrounds when it was an event why on earth would I play it while it's in the strike playlist?

LOLOLOL! -BUNGO *Laughs in Sony*

Bump, it’s beyond getting old.

No, it is frustrating. This season for me is the worse since warmind. Some great ideas

Bearbeitet von LikwiD_SmOkE22: 4/19/2022 6:48:07 PMI've enjoyed all the 6 player matchmade activities. The problem is bungie was too generous with the loot allowing us to open up 5 or 6 chests maybe more if you were fast enough playing menagerie. I'll be honest my time in game during shadowkeep & all it seasons were much much less compared to everything before shadowkeep & from beyond light moving forward. My highest season rank was 196 & I think that was dawn but most of the time I sat in the tower dunking at the kiosk going for God roll weapons. Beyond light up until this current season I've hit 200 or higher on the season pass. I enjoyed the 6 player activities from every season & obviously some more than others. Since you aren't happy about these activities.. what would you change? What would you add? Remove?
-
I told people before WQ came out that it will be awesome for a week or 2, then when it's back to the same old grind it will be boring AF. People told me to "play something else", and now they are complaining that there's nothing to do in WQ.
-
So you are complaining about something which has already been complained about in every season and nothing has been done about it? Astonishing!
I feel like after season 8 bungie just thinks we liked menagerie because it was a 6v6 mode. Like pretty much all modes after it never lived up to it.
Couldn’t agree more. I don’t mind the 6man activities as long as they live up to their promise of delivering a dungeon or raid every season.

New crucible maps? In destiny 2?? Now that would be something
