Husk of the pit-Eidelon Ally-Necrochasm
that one hive fusion
both guns that evolve.
lumina was a start, but the gun sucked. evolving guns should come back as endgame loot.
edit: i know there already are some of these guns. We need more. Also, the evolution thing felt like you were actually building the weapon, making it seem more like your gun.

Can we get putting time and effort into weapon perks a thing again too? I honestly miss being able to do that from D1, getting a feel for the gun while making it better (or just slapping orbs into it).
-
Husk of the Pit was so much fun to upgrade
-
I want my necrocasm
-
Bungie should have designed weapon progression so that you can take your favourite Common, Uncommon, Rare guns and through use and investment, upgrade them to Legendaries with the same number of perk slots as a Legendary. See, _that_ would make weapon upgrades 'more meaningful', and not this crap EC economy. ;P
-
As long as they don’t require premade fireteam activities 👍
-
Do you mean a weapon that had a back story that was left behind and not Carrots like Outbreak to sell DLC that doesn't even belong in this game?

Bearbeitet von Dirty8Speciall: 9/20/2019 12:19:01 PMI loved Murmur and the husk progression. They could even have them evolve into random perks to keep the grind going (since that appears to be their goal these days).
-
loved Murmer, Necro was just bad. the concept of evolving was a good one.
-
That would be a logical thing to be a Banshee quest. Buy a blank(white) weapon of your choice and as you use it it gains XP, after X kills you bring it back to Banshee it levels up in rarity and you chose a perk(s), rinse and repeat until you get to legendary.
-
Evolving guns was always a good idea. Heck, I'll go one step further and admit that I miss unlocking the perk nodes on your guns through use, experience gain, and materials. It made it feel more "yours", in my opinion (and is an example of a meaningful grind). Having a gun drop fully unlocked just made them disposable.

Bearbeitet von thechair: 9/19/2019 5:38:44 PMi do like the occasional evolving weapon as a quest. its rare though for bungie to make a great example. Nechrochasm was cool, but the quest step was a pain in the butt if i remember, rng was harsh.

Legend of Acrius is an evolving weapon
-
I remeber neceochasm....ended up fetting crux of Crota before I even got husk of the pit.

Murmer didnt evolve, you just got it and that was it, its yours. thorn, rose, and lumina, on the other hand, was an evolution (well, DE-volution first, THEN a different evolution). and i think that the new trace rifle coming in shadowkeep will be an 'evolving' weapon too.
-
Just because a gun sucked doesn't mean it didnt happen. Bray tech scout rifle was another evolving weapon we had. Its cool and all but is it worth it? What does it truly bring to the table?

Bearbeitet von GSXHeckler: 9/19/2019 9:56:08 PMI loved the idea behind Necrochasm and how you upgraded it all the way to an exotic. It was the same idea as Solstice Armor. I've been wanting them to do something like that since TDB. EDIT: I would also like my Necrochasn back. Nothing was more satisfying than using it in crucible and hearing the ghoulish screams as I headshot people with an auto rifle.

I want to be able to buy a common version of a weapon with no perk and then level it up with xp. once a threshold is hit it unlocks a perk node, which will let you go buy and place a perk from banshee. once you've unlocked all the perk nodes then you can pick a masterwork and once its master worked a unique perk slot opens up allowing you to place semi exotic perks like health bum on kill, rate of fire increase, or partial mag fill on kill.
-
Rose and the Braytech scout would like a word
-
Apparently the new raid exotic trace rifle is going to be like this, according to leaks. You will supposedly get a legendary version from the vex offensive activity and have to upgrade it to exotic
-
I still think Husk of the Pit should return again but this time Banshee has a look and says something like "huh, guess Rezyl's Inferno survived after all" Then, armed with a shopping list of materials we get to work to rebuild this battered old rifle. Bathe it in a pool of the traveller's energy on Io to cleanse the hive gunk before reforging it into a powerful hive destroying weapon.

This is already in Lumina quest.
