Let us have strike specific rewards that are worth playing for. Also add modifiers. How else can they improve heroic strikes?

The whole game sucks why would strikes be any different

Strikes in D2 suck in general. I wish I could put my finger on what it is exactly about them but they just aren't nearly as interesting or engaging as D1 strikes. Even the oft-maligned Dust Palace or Cerberus Vae III in D1 are more enjoyable than almost all of the strikes in D2. I don't know if it's the rewards, the weapon changes, the absolute predictability of the strike mechanics themselves, the lack of secrets to find, or a combination of all of these things but I find myself actively avoiding strikes in D2. Where in D1 I happily spent entire game sessions just running strikes in D2 I would rather slam my head into a cinderblock wall.

I honestly don’t understand the point of adding heroic modifiers to strikes when there is no reason to play strikes in the first place.

I know this reply won’t be popular Bc negative will always outpace positive here. But the nightfall changes were the best thing they could have done. Up til now there were no difficult activities. Expert players had no challenges in the game. And the nightfalls were a race to see how fast you could skip the whole thing anyway. Now they have made us actually play it. And if you are good try to crank up the level. People complain things are too easy, then too hard. Well Goldilocks now they are letting you set the pace. This update was easily the best one so far. And why play them you ask? Believe it or not there are a lot of players that don’t care if there is a special weapon at the end (my better devils is not getting stowed no matter what they drop). We play for the reward of completing activities others can not. I worked on that 3.65 yesterday for 4 hours before getting it. And we were pretty damn stoked that we were able to overcome it. There has never been a player controlled level in Destiny. It’s something new and it’s brought players to an activity many had abandoned. I say it’s a step in the right direction.

Do you purposely not read the news by Bungie or are you just pretending to not know just so you can post a stupid post ?
-
They don't on D1, last week specialist + arc burn=4th horseman =melt boss encounters 👌

I feel like my guns are shooting napkin and stuff animals during the boss fights.
-
Same goes to removal of nightfall modifiers and adding extinguish which sucks
-
I don't like some of the modifiers in the Mercury Heroic Adventures so I hope they've only put the fun ones in.

Bearbeitet von ManBlaster: 3/20/2018 8:46:13 AMProdromos Down Strike boss fight sucks the absolute most the boss's constant teleport away mechanic is absolutely terrible. He shouldn't flee more than twice. Its so painfully dragged out.

Indeed. In destiny one there was arcade style scoring and fun modifiers. Bungie have the audacity just to up the light level and call them heroic as if they were the same functionality from Destiny one... and light level barely matters anymore. Hilarious.

The strike specific loot will still have fixed rolls. Get ready for more Auto-Loading Holster and Graverobber
-
They are working on both of those things by the way. It is on the most recent road map posted on the March 16th.
-
They are adding modifiers. The strike specific awards will only come from the nightfall

6 tokens and 3 blues! Always amuses me
-
Make new ones. Maybe even good ones.
-
Make strikes like D1 strikes and emphasize the narrative ... how many people know what Sloan is saying in the Titan strike? It likely ties into the next DLC and I don't even know what's going on lol.
-
Unless the modifiers are actually interesting, unlike before, then they can keep them. I do want the unique loot though, and not just restricted to nightfalls.
-
Is there even a difference between Heroic and Normal Strikes?
-
Heroic has a power spike that's it
