Isn't D2's engine already the new engine they developed because of how inefficient D1's engine was l?

You believed that? Well, you were conned.

Bearbeitet von autistic_lion22: 3/17/2018 6:17:11 AMIt still sucks pretty bad. Other games take about a month or two to push about six to seven updates in the span of one to two months. Look at Destiny 2, can hardly push one update in one month.
-
Its an "upgraded" D1 engine.

They blatantly lied about this.
-
Oh, why would they lie about that? Not saying I'm doubting you, it's just something that's not worth lying about. Compared to when they lied about how you could go as far as you could see in D1. That was a lie but it got people hyped up. But only a small percentage of the community would be excited over a new engine so why even lie at all when the rest don't care?
-
They said they've retooled the engine to allow for constant demand for new content, which has now been revealed to be cut D1 content, which canonically wouldn't make much sense to be included in the series as a sequel, hence all the bullshit with the comics/abandoning the folklore.
-
No they haven't made a new engine. The resources, time, and money that is needed to make a new engine isn't realistically within reach regarding their schedule.
-
I thought they did cause the D1 engine had problems like taking 20 minutes to start up and having a variety of other issues with loading in assets.
-
Actually, it takes 8 hours to load. 20 minutes would be ludicrous speed.

That was my understanding as well. I remember being told D1 gear couldn't be brought along bc of the new engine. Apparently the little engine that could, actually couldn't. smh
