  • Just in case that helps some, I solve this by connecting one of the ps4 on the wifi hotspot of my phone. So the ps4 are not on same network anymore You may need a good 4G connexion and enough data (data consumption seems fair but I didnt measure accuratly)

  • Since this issue has not been fixed in the several months since you created the issue me and my partner have lost interest in destiny. We returned for the dawning but upon seeing the issue wasn't resolved we lost interest quite quickly. We use to play pretty much every day since day 1 only previously taking a break during the content drought last year. If you aren't going to fix the issue just tell the community rather that string us along for the ride promising a fix that's so far taken far too long to arrive

  • Omg check ur trouble shooting guide 😂😂😂 thats a laugh!! Hang on let me load COD oh wait you mean u can actually play together on a multiplayer game wow! Here i thought it was every game pfft no just YOUR GAME. Love how u tell people its their issue! What a crock u maybe able to fool PEOPLE WHO only just recieved the game 🤔 but not us who actually had a working game before YOU YES YOU DID UR UPDATE HAHAHAHAHA YOU have stuffed up so bad now that No one believes your lies Clearly YOUR NOT READY TO BE DEVELOPERS admit it if you wanted this issue fixed u would have done it by now yet u can nerf weapons and subclasses yeah because that totally out weighs HALF OF YOUR CLIENTS NOT BEING ABLE TO PLAY get a clue how to program a game no wonder the creater left this is a walking disaster not to mention your an embarrassment to the whole gaming community congrats I wonder how many original copys u sold to how many were returned. 🤔

    • Have 2 Xbox ones, 2 copies of Destiny, and same internet connection (Xfinity). One Xbox is hard wired and other is wireless. I just tested this fix and so far it has worked continuously unless you quit the game, then you have to repeat. Turn on first Xbox, load Destiny, log in and go to Tower. Power up 2nd Xbox or if already powered up, go into settings>all settings>network> select go offline. Now select go online and test multiplayer connection. Load Destiny, log in to character, then join fireteam. It continues to work for me so far even if you leave fireteam and rejoin. ** you probably don't even need to go to the tower on the 1st xbox (could be in orbit) but haven't tried that way yet ** Hope it helps some of you. This has been VERY frustrating to say the least!

            • Does Bungie plan to fix this issue? An honest answer would be much appreciated because I am sick of waiting around. My roommate purchased a new tv, a PS4, and Destiny so we could play together; come to find out this isn't possible which is incredibly frustrating. I, along with many others, have invested a significant amount of money in your product and it's disheartening to see this issue has gone unaddressed for so long. Show some respect and appreciation for your users/fans by providing a fix or, at the very least, an update on this issue (November 2016 doesn't cut it).

[/quote] [/spoiler][/quote] I've had the same problem trying to join my wife on the same network. We just get the message unable to join target player. No error codes come up. Had this issue in the past but renaming the xboxes fixed it. Now nothing does. Tried changing the modem settings and all the other tips but nothing works.

            • My wife and I still have this problem. How can we think about buying Destiny 2 when this is still happening? We should make sure that the game reviewers know that this flaw still exist and point out this flaw for Destiny 2.

              Destiny should advise players that have dual modem/routers on review for those setups. I had to reconfigure mine to allow for local network play within my house, since than I have not had any issues or error codes while playing. However, there has been a slight bandwidth share on the network but this appears to something with Destiny codes showing connection strength while playing. I believe the issues may have to do with the operator side of things.

              Hate to do this....hoping to bump this back up top. Seems to no longer show as a sticky for me? The one about the Dawning is still up there, but not this one? The only way it seems to move to the top is if I click on "Highest Rated" now. And only does that for the upper level of Help. Not showing under Networking or Error Codes at all.

              • Up until the holiday season, I was able to play destiny with my wife locally and grand children remotely. since the last change I am now unable to join ANY FIRE TEAM WHERE MY WIFE IS A MEMBER. If she leaves the team and am able to join them. I cannot join her directly to form a team but can do everything that is expected with others. I have followed the blogs, tried all the fixes and have come up empty handed on this issue and since nothing on my end has changed, it is obviously caused by bungie updates. please note that I have a degree in networking so I know how to configure my home network, but seeing as how it was working fine until a little over a month ago... when will you look BACK and see what was done to create this problem.....I have purchased 2 ps4 consoles and your game specifically to play with family. I enjoyed playing with my wife for almost a year before you and your team messed it up....Please fix ASAP . I will not purchase Destiny 2 unless you have done this......long before it gets here as my patience is running out with this issue. This Thank you is in advance of any work so does not count if you do not fix tit.

                  • Wow BUNGIE still haven't fixed this bug and i haven't played in months because of it . PLZ fix this i would like to one day play with my brother again with no issues on destiny. PS don't try to tell me its on my end. Me and my brother can play just fine on other games

                      • This is ridiculous. We are still facing this problem. Shucked out 120 bucks for 2 people to play this game and we are unable to!! Every single game we have we are able to play together. I am about to demand my money back!

                        • Same issue here. Halo 5 multiplayer works perfectly with local LAN fire team. Destiny chokes. So disappointing. I'm actually a new player and bought a second copy specifically to play with my daughter. Spent the evening trying to get this to work. We gave up and just played other WORKING LAN multiplayer games instead. So silly. I thought since this game had been around for a while that basic stuff like this would actually work. It's ridiculous.

                        • I'm having the same issue.. I found restarting my modem fixed the issue.. though it's not the most desirable fix and it's temporary. Usually have to restart it every other day. But it allows my gf and I to join each other's fireteam and play with no issues.
