6 OdpowiedziYou know what the portal could have been great for? Putting vaulted content in a weekly or even monthly rotation. Players get the content they paid for and Bungie dosent have to worry about the game being 500gb It’s a win win, but instead more eververse :)

26 OdpowiedziPosts like this where someone just flat-out lies & gets upvotes anyway are pretty humorous.

Welcome to gaming in the late 2000s. When the whales became the target audience for these "live services", you can't own anything, you have to keep just renting stuff, paying extras even in full-priced products, and they can take it back, gotta read all the fine print, without any legal consequences. The only way to change this is to step back, not give them money, and watch the whole thing collapse. It's happening already, Bungie is proof of that, Ubisoft is proof of that, BioWare is proof of that, Firewalk Studios is proof of that, and the list goes on and on. A very unprofitable list. Gaming became an expensive, unrewarding hobby because of the greed of a few and the infinite capacity of many, many players to accept trash if they still have some fun with it.

7 OdpowiedziI have wondered about this for alooonnnnnggggg time. How is this not theft. We pay every year for content that they later just take away leaving us with nothing we actually paid for. Bungo is perfectly fine with this model and get upping this ability to take what we paid for. And for some stupid reason we keep saying thank you, please, here take more from me. Its like car insurance. I pay over a thousand dollars a year, every year, for decades never getting anything out of it, not one dang thing. Happily never need to! This means I give them money with nothing expected in return. Is this not the definition of a charitable contribution? If so why can I not write it off on my taxes every year?!?!?!? They claim, sorry insurance is a paid service. But I have gotten no service from them. Last accident I had was the day the shuttle blew up. Sooooo So explain to me how Bungo is not an insurance scam?!?!? LOL!!!

1 OdpowiedźWhat's funny is that people just say "get over it" or "you're still mad about that?" Regardless of what the future holds, Bungie will always be the company that took away basically the entirety of a base game under false pretense and then were revealed to be liars only because some no-name writer decided to sue them. And Sony seriously thought they were worth $3.7 billion??

EULA's should be illegal when it comes to purchasing games. Buying a game should be an actual purchase and not a license agreement. How we ended up here is beyond me.

So have you never played a MMO before. You can't go back to Tabula Rasa anymore, even when it was still a live game things were added and things were removed. Games change over time, and it's a temporary medium now more than ever. Physicians used to believe Nostalgia was a mental disorder/disease and although we have learned through advancements in psychology, to move beyond that. But it does truly seem to be very detrimental to an individuals well-being when all they focus on is what they used to have and longing for the past.

10 OdpowiedziAt least Marathon is a big hit with 100s of thousands playing every day. ;) Bye Bye Bungie. Ultimately it wasn't nice knowing you. BTW $400? I guess you didn't buy it on all platforms for multiple users. I spent 5x that and most of it was robbed from me.

4 OdpowiedziBungie should have done that differently. I just read the following on Reddit.
