I was playing on my boyfriend’s account, and saw someone with the name Alpa C.H.I.N.O (from Tropic Thunder), and I typed their name (minus the periods in between each letter) to say it was hilarious, but “C.H.I.N.O” came up as music notes. Does that mean it’ll be flagged as a curse word or something? Is my boyfriend going to be banned from chat?!

3 OdpowiedziAnd you said it again! Here!?!?!?!? Na, you're good. Just their censor having a stroke. Usual stuff. Just don't mention a game currently competing in their market and you're fine.

Edytowany przez użytkownika cryptic_king_241: 2/28/2026 2:37:41 PMDon't worry about it. D2 is rated T, what teenager hasn't heard a swear word in their life yet? Besides that, the ingame censor program is trash. It censors things that aren't swears or just random stuff. I think chest got hit once when I was refering to one of those off the main path lootable boxes for activity exclusive gear in raids and dungeons. A pain when trying to explain how to complete an ingame activity and something like deposit turns into #######.

Assuming this isn't bait you are fine. I see slurs used in game chat with malicuous intent and bungie doesnt ban. Side note for everyone: typing anything in a URL bypasses chat filter www.YOURTEXTHERE.com in game chat. Bungie doesnt read my tickets so Im not bothering to report it to them. One of you do it(or the mod who hates me)

5 OdpowiedziI'm not sure why they'd censor it. It's the word for a type of pants. Maybe someone can provide insight as to why it was censored.

Many people were saying the same thing about the day they die .

5 OdpowiedziYou should be fine. That's the auto-censor.
