There are rumors that Pantheon 2.0 is going to feature bosses from Crown of Sorrow and Spire of Stars. If that is actually happening, Bungie needs to finally stop gatekeeping the Prestige Leviathan armor and let us earn it again.
I’ve been looking at this gear in my collections fantasizing about owning it for years. It shouldn’t still be unobtainable. I know people always bring up the engine changes and how it takes time and money to rebuild old assets, but Bungie is a massive studio backed by Sony. They aren't an indie developer. They have the resources to make this work, and they’ve already shown they can bring back old weapons like Midnight Coup when they want to. The Leviathan and its prestige armor is one of the best armor sets in the entire game, so why not bring it back along with Pantheon 2.0?
If rebuilding the entire armor set is "too much work," then just give us the Universal Ornaments. Put them in Legacy Focusing with Ikora or a different and new vendor. Let us buy the Leviathan Prestige ornaments with a new currency after we prove we can beat those bosses in the Pantheon gauntlet.
The drop system should be simple: the harder the difficulty, the better the reward. The Prestige armor ornaments should be tied directly to the highest difficulty tiers of Pantheon. If you can clear the hardest encounters, you should be able to get the Prestige Leviathan Armor. It keeps the "Prestige" name actually meaningful.
The community has been very vocal about how much vaulting damaged the game. Taking away the most iconic raids and the best looking gear in the game was a mistake that still hasn't been fixed. Bringing back the bosses without the Prestige glow as a reward would be a huge missed opportunity.
We’ve waited long enough.
Let us earn the gear back so the "Prestige" look actually means something in 2026 of Destiny.
