How to change linked steam account for Marathon?
I have a new steam account and would like to buy and play Marathon on the new account but I am wondering how I would be able to do that without messing up anything on my cross save and especially with my destiny 2 saves. I have purchased and installed destiny 2 from the Microsoft Store/Xbox App for Windows and it seems like marathon won't be on there so I want to link a new steam account to this one. I have access to the old steam account linked if necessary but playing on it is not an option for me.

2 OdpowiedziHey there, as of March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink platform accounts from a Bungie Account, so unfortunately the old Steam account will remain linked.

You can choose to play Marathon on your new account, and when you log into Bungie.net, just log in with that account. You won't be able to combine your profiles together, but playing Marathon on a different Steam ID won't affect your current profile or Destiny 2 save data in any way. You'll just have two different profiles on Bungie.net. You'll have your current one, then the one created by your other Steam ID for Marathon.
