Mida's Catalyst should drop from trials wins and iron banner wins in addition to its current drop source.
This is the last catalyst I currently don't have and despite chasing it off an on over the years, I've never managed legend in glory mode, however I have gone flawless a couple times on my own.
Since comp is sort of a dead playlist, I think midas catalyst should have a drop chance from trials & Iron banner wins, since they are equally as competitive (if not more so) than comp.
For the elitist out there, who disagree with me, then I suggest this. The light house chest and wins after flawless have a drop chance for the catalyst. For iron banner, resetting your vendor rank and wins after resetting your rank have a drop chance.

Edit- it’s hilarious getting these responses from people who are used to getting everything handed to them. So sad

I say keep it in comp, keep it restricted to drops on wins only, but adjust the drop rates so its 5% per rank in comp. So at the very first rank, Guardian I, you have a 5% chance of getting it to drop every win. At Guardian III, the drop chance becomes 15%, and so on. Then if you haven't gotten it all the way up to Legend rank, which would be about an 80% drop chance per win, it will give it to you 100% when you reset your rank.

It's from reaching legend in comp or has a very very low chance of dropping from comp wins. I got it the latter way 👌

Yeh, this requirement needs to be removed. Why on earth anyone thought it would be a good idea to enable only the top 5% or so of pvp players was a good idea is completely beyond me. Just goes to show how detached they are from their own game. Beyond braindead whoever thought that requirement up.

I don’t think so. I agree Survival is miserable but stuff like this is a step in the right direction. They either need to keep adding reasons to go in or Abandon it. If they abandon it then put Mida Cat in the other modes

I agree on that. I did comp for mine and it sucked and all I could think was why isn’t this in trials or IB. I will say you aren’t missing much imo. Was painful back when I got it a couple seasons ago to complete it given how tiny most maps are and how bad scouts are without good range.

Yep. Since Mida isn't meta, catalyst shouldn't be locked for competitive mode.

It should drop in trials but not ib. Very high chance of dropping from lighthouse chest and a small chance of dropping after a win sounds about right.

Mediocre scout is mediocre. Catalyst should be free when you pick the exotic up tbh.

They're going to have to change it's source soon. Since Unbroken has been confirmed to be unobtainable soon, that makes me feel like Bungie is going to Vault the Comp playlist next.

Yeah, agreed. I spent hours and hours playing Comp around 3500-4000 Glory last year just because it was the only catalyst I was missing. I don't really mind Comp that much, but I definitely wouldn't have been grinding it otherwise.
