On one hand I like the challenge they bring and that they give you more super energy than normal enemies.
On the other hand I can't stand being forced to only use weapons there is mods for. Sometimes I just wanna use my Vex Mythoclast okay?
But my vote is irrelevant whether it is yes or no, I want your opinions.

I’m fine with them being an enemy type, but the idea that we have a very small selection of weapons we can use to deal with them each season needs to change. I can be convinced we need to equip a given mod to deal with them. This way we have to build around them. But I think we’ve long gone past the point where the system as it is is a fun or even interesting one. Being without an entire mod for half a season has felt really stupid. We just have 3 mods for each, so 9 in total. A primary mods that cost 1 energy each. Energy weapon mods that cost 3 energy each. Power weapon mods that cost 5 energy each. Exotics are still free to have intrinsic mods that can’t be overwritten. Like Arbalest and Divinity. I think the only reason we’re keeping this loathed system is because it is easy for Bungie to leave as is. Though I guess they could just use the 9 mods to pad out the artifact, like they do already. Though I’d prefer the artifact be reserved for mods that actually make us stronger. And make activities more fun and not just less annoying.

I don’t think they should be removed, but I think the way weapons interact with then should change. Instead of making seasonal mods that allow us to stun them based off of certain weapons each season, make certain categories of weapons stun different champions as a basic function. (Except the exotic outliers) 1. Long range weapons should pierce barrier champions shields, like snipers, scout rifles and bows. 2. Medium/short range weapons should stun overloads, like fusion rifles, auto rifles, smgs, trace rifles, glaives and shotguns. 3. Explosive/heavy weapons should stun unstoppable champions, like grenade launchers, rockets, linear fusion rifles and so forth. I honestly think something like this would benefit the game. Sure some people would use the same thing, but it enables variation in loadouts to defeat champions in end game content, which is something we all want. The current system forces us to use certain things when we could be experimenting with different weapons.

1 OdpowiedźChampions are needed to add a level of difficulty if they are to hard for you it’s ok stay in strikes and Gambit because that’s where you belong. Just like everything in life there are levels to this ish if you don’t like it it’s ok you can always just go back to Fortnite widdow bb

No they are okay. What needs to go is artifact mods to create fake metas that are always about using the anti champion mod that isnt the worst. Just give us anti champions primary weapon mods by default like any other mods and out special weapons mods in the artifacrs if you want to create metas and not break the game more than it already is.

Just the opposite actually, they should be in Gambit and Crucible also, try capturing B with 2 Overload Captains on it -
4 OdpowiedziChamps as an idea no. This absurd “lol you have to use weapon xyz cause poor implementation” that we have now with champs. Absolutely. Champs are just Another idea that bungie just made every single wrong choice on when it came to implementing it.

2 OdpowiedziI hate champions, and I hate champions a 1000% more every snice the hard Mode witch queen Campaign. They just provide they can make hard/fun content with out the f***ing shitty champions

1 OdpowiedźLots of you don't realized that the reason you complain was the goal of champions ... They been saying since D1 they don't want peoples tonalways use the same stuff This is why early d1 gear couldn't be leveled up past the next expansion and why TTK sunset everything and also why D2 had a small sunset Making a all propose mod not only against the idea and design but also not really a well thought idea since it will make them weaker than a regular yellow bar Lots of you complains just to complain ....while others complains because they are bad I have yet to see an actual good idea that was fully thought of.... But if you think you have 1 ho ahead

2 OdpowiedziThey'd be a nice addition to the game, IF we can use what we want instead of what Bungie dictates us to use.
-
1 Odpowiedź-blam!- overload Auto/smg. Absolute garbage against champions.
-
Just take the stunning part of the champions out then I would be okay with champions. That way we can use what we want to use
-
2 OdpowiedziYes bro, I wanna use what I want

1 OdpowiedźWhat's the point of having normal glove mods if we have to remove them to equip champion mods? What's the point of having shotguns, fusion rifles, and sniper rifles if we must equip double primaries?
-
Here's the problem, champions require you to use only a handful of weapons because the mods of said season are only available for that handful of weapons. They can be made to not require any mod and still work. Take a look at recently reworked eximus units in Warframe, they're tougher but don't require special mods to fight them so why don't make them like that? - Barrier can be made like nullifier, barrier bubble that slowly heals them until you break it with enough firepower - Overload can be made similar to leech eximus, unleashing area attacks to drain your health and heal themselves while slowly recovering health if they don't take damage for 5 seconds - Unstoppable is fine, not getting staggered or stunned means you can't simply sit in one spot and shoot them from distance because they'll be coming for you No mod requirements, only you and your mobility
-
Why don’t exotic sidearms stun barrier champions? But legendary does?
-
3 OdpowiedziYup. They were shít when they first got added, they're shít now, and they'll continue to be shít.

1 OdpowiedźHere's how you fix champions General purpose anti mods. Either that or make exotics Anti-Everything

4 OdpowiedziChamps are fine , y’all cry to much
-
1 Odpowiedźi would rather bungie rework champions than delete them
-
100% yes. Especially if they put the same seasonal champion mod back to back. I'm fine with gear being locked for higher level content, but having to be forced to use a sidearm for something is not how I want to play the activity.
-
6 OdpowiedziNo they add an interesting element.

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Sturm with no Drang: 7/2/2022 7:25:13 PMChampions would have been good in concept, but the devs executed the system super poorly in terms of the anti-Mod system. Because of the issue of what I assume is Destiny’s natural latency problems, some champs will act super buggy before and after hitting them with a stunning round, like Overloads practically teleporting through walls and out of sight(or behind you which is great when your radar is down) or when you stun an Unstoppable Ogre and he decides he’s just gonna roll you like another hit from Smash Mouth, and he’l just keep coming and wont stop coming. Couple this with the limited choices for mod selection and some folks being sick and tired of autos and subs being the only overloads or almost never having a secondary like a shotty or sniper for anti-barriers and folks will just not like the system and how it forces you to play. People like having options, having choices in how to tackle different situations. Bungie knows this, they know their playerbase, or at the very least I assume they did at some point before 2017. I dunno, maybe it’s just me but I don’t like having to be forced to play a certain style and not have an incentive by doing so. So as it is, the champions are a bad design because the means we were given to engage them is a bad design. If the system cannot be improved, it just needs to be tossed out, and I think I’d much rather go back to bullet sponges than things that have immunity shields and shield “phases”. But that’s just me.

Champions are trash. 10 million weapons but I have 6 to choose from. Swapping out mods. Hoping the mods work. Poundsign poop emoji
-
No, having to put a load out/build together for a specific challenge can be fun. The issue is that they champs have creeped into every single activity needs to be 'difficult'. Just use them less often, Champs are not the right kind of difficulty for everything.
