2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika mja calg: 6/17/2022 6:47:28 PMBungle relies on Peer to Peer Networking, so there is no Hosting Server as used in 99% of the other games. It works okay if there is a large population of players with decent internet that are close to you. However, if the population drops, or you live in an area where few people play or they have terrible internet, then it falls apart. On top of this, Bungle has Cross Play and that seems to be a major source of lag and "WTF was that" moments between Xbox and PSN platforms. And to hide this, this season they removed the icon identifiers of what platform your opponent is on, likely because people looked at what the lobby was made up of and then if they weren't matching your platform, people left. Same reason Bungle removed Connection Quality indicators that they had in D1, so people don't see an opposing team with 0 bars and realize they would be unkillable. Bungle likes to hide details from it's players. Yesterday in Gambit and Mayhem, I was shooting opponents in the head with a Xenophage and some people dropped from one or 2 head shots, whereas others I put 3 to 5 shots into them and never even took their shields down. Those unkillables likely were PSN players, as I'm on Xbox and Cross Play causes this BS a lot - both ways. Edit: Lastly, Peer to Peer uses a lot more CPU / GPU power and internet bandwidth than a Hosting server does. A Hosting Server has one up and one down connection to you, much easier to handle and far less internet usage, which is why games like BattleField or COD etc can have 32+ player games on last gen consoles. With Peer to Peer Destiny, 6v6 means 12 up and 12 down internet connections and a connection to the Destiny tally servers, which is a lot of traffic and processing to handle on top of the game.

It’s really bad
-
Been like this since d1. Now with crossplay it got really bad and bungie keeps saying its us not them so dont expect anything to slightly improve
-
It's been beyond laggy since crossplay was implemented. Bungie couldn't care less. There have been hundreds of threads complaining about it but I have never seen them respond, not even once.

1 OdpowiedźI'm convinced sbmm is back on to some degree. I'm getting match vs people across the -blam!- world. It's been so bad this week.
-
Not for streamers. ttv already flawless players are getting corner shots before any reaction from me.
-
Yes, two trials games in a row someone has been booted from my team and two enemies were immune in one and I just got booted to orbit.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Demon_XXVII: 6/17/2022 6:18:34 PMWatch this streamer laugh at how he sniped a dude (slow it down) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ON8pkJcVEAA The opponent was in cover before the shot (he actually looked/peeked/moved out into the line of fire, but then has gone before the shot is fired (you can hear the sniper fire) That’s how bad lag, peer to peer & hit detection (huge aim assist & damage boxes)

3 OdpowiedziI find some games the damage is just way off. One game I will put a ton of shots into someone and it won't register the damage right away. I'll get killed after I kill the person. Somehow they were able to keep shooting after I had drained all their health. Then the next game, and this is the worst because I find it happening a lot this season, is the damage seems to be happening all at once. So I am getting what seems like instantly melted, and when I think I was sniped in the head, it shows a scout rifle or something, yet I only had 1 shot hit me. So there is some lag or something, and it feels terrible. I peek out and get instantly melted, thinking WTF was that? And then I see it was a hand cannon. Like what? How the hell did a hand cannon instantly kill me? Where was the 2 of the 3 shots? I got hit with 1 bullet only. Using peer to peer in 2022 is a joke. It's going to be so terrible when The Final Shape releases in 2024 and Destiny is still on peer to peer. This is like 2008 Halo stuff. There are indie games on the market now that have dedicated servers. Peer to peer was prehistoric 5 years ago. It's only going to get worse as we continue with Destiny 2.

No, None of the PvP games I play (none of which are Destiny) have any noticable lag.
-
4 OdpowiedziIt is horribly unplayable right now. When I jump I am pushed to the right. After over 4 1/2 years this is the first time I have experienced this.
-
Been unbearable ever since cross-play was introduced. Cannot say if it's any more laggy now, as it's already abysmal.
-
It's bc the game matches you with people around the whole world. The performance is getting worse in the game from season to season. Bungie seem to not care about that.

6 OdpowiedziAny connectivity experts out there? I have a 1gb connection, hard wired. 0% packet loss, very little latency, but when I get near specific players on the map, my connection just drops. And it happens every time I encounter the same player Anything I can do to fix this? Not sure if my connection is the issue and desyncs or what

3 OdpowiedziCross play has never worked properly since launch, and nowadays if you turn it off it takes longer to get 12 ppl than Titanfall 2 match making did after its peak... as a community we are the 3 spidermans pointing at each other meme, we'reall guilty of it lol... i feel like its the half baked servers 80% of the time, 10% people with trash internet, and 10% cheaters at this point... I have a PS5 and a Series X, doesnt make a difference which one I'm on the other lags, crossplay just doesnt work right in pvp... the least lag is in PC lobbies but then you get the cracked out MnK handcannon/sniper crowd... but hey it's better than someone moving like a methed out scorn that can shoot you through walls as none of your shots connect
-
ive been getting shot behind walls constantly this season like a good full second after im in cover already lol

17 OdpowiedziIts what happens when people want SBMM, CBMM is superior since you don't get laggy players that teleport. But hay people wanted SBMM not we have SBMM.
-
4 OdpowiedziTo the guy here that said we are matched with the whole world..at least for me thats not a problem, my problem began when i was introduced to Xbox players...ultra laser smgs....shotguns that cross map the whole galaxy...you go inspect it has 10 range... dude im in a position that if im facing at least 3 xbox players in the opposite team, i just quit, i dont give a F anymore.
-
Lol are you serious?
-
-
My experience has been terrible lately. It’s very inconsistent
-
Not super bad, but I come across a few folks who are impossible to kill
-
Yes. As per usual though.
