This addresses a couple of things to help bring some fun and replay-ability to the game. Besides the couple of emblems and ghosts, most Triumphs are just a number on your character screen lets be real. So why play Master lost sector when it has the same poor drop rates as Legend? Legend lost sectors offer the same rewards for less effort. Sometimes it’s an exotic after 1 clear, sometimes i tap out after 10 completions of nothing but glimmer rewards because an exotic armor piece just isn’t worth that much time to me. I think an effective fix to increase player interest, along with playtime, and actually encourage Master completion, would be to treat it like a playlist. 3 solo Master lost sector completions guarantee an exotic for that week (this could be 3 of the same, or 3 separate lost sector Master completions). If bungie wanted to make our lives easier (fat chance i know), there could be a screen to focus which armor piece type you get for the week whether it be a helmet or boots etc., just like wartable umbral focusing. Drop rates, armor piece rotation, and the activity itself stay in their current state, but now you’d actually have a functioning reward system in place to give players something for repeatedly doing SOLO CHAMPION BASED LOCKED LOADOUT CONTENT. Where there’s still a bit of boredom to it, add emblems! A shader! Something! I would love rewards linked to Flawless Master Lost Sector completions. Complete all Earth Master Lost sectors? Unlock an earth related emblem. Complete all on the Throne World? Unlock a throne world related emblem! All fixes suggested in terms of coding are things that have already been placed in the game. Multiplayer playlists have this completion reward system in place and function smoothly, Engram focusing has existed since umbral engrams were introduced, Bungie was absolutely huge on making emblems for nightfalls back at D2 launch. I cant see why these couldn’t be added in to work with lost sectors. It gives a chase and grind for something other than the chance of 2 exotics we dont have or have already gotten in the first week of new dlc drops. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed, note im not upset or mad about drop rates but simply feel that lost sectors are a great concept with poor execution in their current state.
