My steam character is now on my Xbox and I can't get my Xbox character back
So, I logged into my account earlier to play D2 on my Xbox. But the thing is, my steam character was on there not my Xbox character. See, I haven't touched my steam account since last year (and I have crossplay active in case I change my mind and play again) and I was kinda confused on why it was on my Xbox. Is there a reasonable explanation for this... ?

Crossplay and cross save are not the same thing and have nothing to do with each other. You probably activated cross save and made the new platform your primary, and that's why your old characters will not show up.

The only reason that would happen is that you turned on cross save, and chose Steam as your primary platform, which makes your Steam character(s) the only ones that will appear on the platform a you have linked via cross save.
