I recently picked D2 back up and started playing on Steam after cross-saving my PS characters intending to make a full jump to PC. I have been able to cross play with other users just fine, no connection errors or other technical hiccups, except for when one friend in particular and I try to fly into an activity or to the tower. We can be in orbit together but nowhere else, it gives us the error code “grapefruit” but with no explanation beyond “network error”. The strange part is this only happens with him and nobody else. I’ve tried joining with blueberries at the tower, with other friends and clan mates and have had no problems with them so I’m confused as to what’s causing this issue. Logging in from my PS5 doesn’t give me this problem. I’m frustrated as I’m seeing no other complaints or solutions relevant to this error code, and while this is generically labeled a “network error” I have no clue where the problem actually lies and if it’s something that’s easy to fix. Has anybody else come across this?
