Can loot drop above 300 light without raid/trials?
Is it possible for any loot to drop above 300 light without doing the Kings Fall raid or Trials? I see posts suggesting random rewards from nightfall and IB over 310 light but is that only for guardians already over 300 light level? I've been stuck just under 300 for a while now as personally not had chance to raid much but keen to keep progressing.
[Edit] Thanks for the quick responses guardians, I will try grinding IB this weekend and pray to RNGesus to drop me enough to pip my average over 300, maybe I'll even 'do a smoggy' again and get a sweet 320 as a reward for my usual crappy K/D ratio ☺
[Edit2] Well IB is over and I managed to get one character to rank 5 boosting my Warlock's max light level from 298 to 301 after receiving a 310 artifact at rank 3 then a 310 ghost shell at rank 5. Random drops included a 312 shell, some 302 gauntlets and both IB weapons, the machine gun is a beast indeed, I nearly bought a spare. At least I can start grinding 3 of coins now to try and get 310 exotics...

While you may not like trials, all you need to do is the bounties which consists of play matches and score points to complete the silver/ gold ones and they drop gear over 300 for hardly any work

I got 300 boots one time since TTK released and I grinded strikes for days and got nothing even using the 3 of coins. So it either get lucky which we already know how the RNG works in this game or do the raid . There is no other way. Either way you're getting screwed.

Nightfalls can drop gear over 300, and IB dropped me a 305 chest.

Hi I got a 307 fusion rifle from the Nfall when I was around 298/299 light.

Nope.. Raid and trials is the only for sure way to get anything over 300. Iron banner still drops under 300
