PvP is blatantly trash (since idk, always it seems)
Note that I'm a pc player.
- Weapon meta is still shotgun apes lol
- Maps being so small to make up worst, and long maps won't help cause people would just use pulse/dmt with shotgun
- Team balancing is going to bottom where end is not visible
- Connections being so -blam!- that +140 ping is base
- Some loadout is not popular, but incounterable (ex: Bow swap macro with hc or gl)
I've played 1500 hours of crucible and honestly this is the first season for me that PvP feels so bad that I don't want to play. I've been through MT/Recluse meta, LoW meta, Stasis meta, Chaos reach meta, etc... But now, It's just really not fun to play.

So with that being said, if players who want skill and ability to rule (as it should) were their focus the bad/trash/just don't want to get better players will leave because they have to work for their wins/kills. So there would be no money in it...it'll be a better game but not one that would be played by the fad following masses. Extra rant: D2 has one of the most outdated p2p out there and they aren't trying to upgrade it, because in my opinion it further closes the skill gap. Can't be the better player if you can't see or hit them because they're hurtbox isn't there really. Along with (built into the game in my opinion) hit reg issues, damage reduction or multiplication, and the multitude of one shot weapons that literally play for you...PvP is just a -blam!- show. Where people who took the time to "git gud" have to deal with a player that had supplemented skill. I'm not gonna go into the D1 vs D2 debate but when D2 came out the Devs literally said they were targeting the lone wolf style of player and making it more team based. At that point we should of saw how terrible D2's PvP was gonna be in the future.

Rumble [b]was[/b] good but super regen changes + **** matchmaking mean the games often don't even last half of the scheduled 8 minutes and often only the winner gets their super...that winner is normally invis hunter with chaperone farming new lights who shouldn't even be in the lobby. Absolute **** show. Make the game 12 minutes with a target of 30 kills for victory. Freelance Comp - one good player gets matched with 2 liabilities who quit after running at the enemy and (surprise surpise) getting smoked. Terrible. Regular comp - 3 randoms vs a stacked team of flawless/unbroken. Not viable. Trials - wouldn't be so bad if there was no power level enabled and a permanent solo queue playlist. Surprises me how negative the community is regarding a weekend of Rumble Trials of Osiris...guess a lot of players can't get kills by themselves. Iron Banner - see Control comment above but with power level enabled. Absolute fail with no way to target specific loot. Armour rewards used to be OK but now the stat distributions are all over the show. Only positive is the solo queue....but still too many power plays and mercy wins/losses.

It's unplayable. The game stutters every few seconds in pvp, and the lag is atrocious. The meta is straight garbage, and something is going on with the connections where people's damage is amplified and it feels as if you're dying instantly no matter what gun they are using. PvP needs an overhaul. They need to get disable scavenger mods completely in pvp and remove supers.

Lobby balancing = bad Ability spam is still an issue Special ammo economy still isn’t where it should be No new maps/modes Archaic p2p networking The gunplay and movement is still top tier in my opinion, which is why I keep playing in hopes that someday Bungie will give pvp the support it needs. Kinda running out of patience though ngl

10 RepliesI play a lot of PVP and so far this season it feels pretty bad. I played 14 matches yesterday and lost 12. Lobbies still full of shotty apes and hancannon spammers. Bad team balance, Bad map rotation, Half of my matches were on 2 maps. Several players teleporting and I got error kicked out of two of my games. It really seems that Bungie does not have anyone actually playing PVP on their staff. None of the supposed fixes to special ammo and shotguns has done anything to balance the overuse of special weapons. The focus on gunplay was short lived as ability spam seems just as prominent as ever and people running around spamming a fusion get their super just as fast as a guy using a primary despite the BS marketing around changing it. At this point I have zero hope that PVP will ever be better in this game. Bungie seems to be fine with it. You just have to be ok with what it is if you want to play it.

Bad matchmaking. I can't play pvp anymore. If connections are already garbage we might as well play relative peers.

13 RepliesThey’ve neglected pvp for so long that pvp mains have become bitter. Playing the same 5 maps (I don’t count the two they brought back) is very frustrating. No new modes, maps, lobby balancing patches, double damage patch’s, IB updates, has really shown how not to manage the pvp side of the game. And I can’t speak about cheaters, I’m on PS5 but the Cronus problem is becoming pretty bad. And I didn’t even mention the terrible connections, tick rate, servers. If any game ever comes out that feels like destiny pvp I’m gone.

Lately the ONLY issue i notice os the damn lag and bad hit registration. Its been this way for at least a year...sometimes it feels smoth and ok ,others a few matches later ,its a complete lag fest. Well...its what it is!!! Hope it gets better this year with some improvements to PvP and the matchmaking.

2 Repliesare we going to talk about titan over shield meta this season yet? seems to me every time im playing all i see are losers with titan walls with over shield and a shotgun HC/DMT so you cant get close and you get hit at range where your HC basically is useless against someone that just -blam!- in and out of the shield essentially having unlimited health. its never been this bad before. PVP HOTFIX list (no specific order) 1) Titan shield provides over shield once per placement (until next shield) in PVP 2) match making balancing 3) connection with other networks (PS,XBOX,PC,Stadia) 4) for the love of god (whatever one(s) you believe) NEW MAPS! 5) whatever you guys want to add

Destiny 2 PVP in a nutshell: 1. Rampant cheating 2. Unbalanced matchmaking 3. No SBMM for recreational players 4. Bungie does not care or does not do anything to fix above What is not to like??

Literally every single season everyone calls it trash … just shut up and go play pve. As for the people who say they do , it’s called dif season dif meta . The whole point is to adapt every season to something new . If u can’t do that then what’s the point .i have yet to see a point where u couldn’t find games for pvp at all so the majority out weighs the few. For those who keep saying u uninstalled or quit why tf are u on the forums. You literally take time out of ur day just to talk -blam!- on forums even though u don’t play the game . Get a life

4 RepliesDestiny has by far the worst pvp of any game ive ever played. The cheating has been simply out of control since they left Blizzard which had actual cheat detection. Literally NOTHING in this game should be tied behind pvp, not even engrams. It should be nothing more than just a boredom time dump.
