The main reason for this update 2.0 is to make all of your favorite year one weapons, not so great anymore, so that you might be more receptive of the year two weapons that will drop with TTK. This is made further evident by the fact that they are pretty much nerfing weapons across the board, even ones that didn’t need it. Of course they are giving other somewhat valid reasons for the update as well, but these are being used as smoke screens to hide the true intent of the patch. There is a lot that Bungie does not want you to know about TTK DLC, this is why we get no solid details from Bungie about it. Here are a few rumored things they don’t want you to know. TTK DLC will basically be a reset, with all new weapons to grind out all over again, they refer to these weapons as year two weapons. Also, neither legendary or exotic year one weapons will be ascendable. Bungie update 2.0 will nerf your year one arsenal to the point of being less desirable, it will then be easier for them to separate you from those favorite weapons when TTK drops in September. All of this is an attempt to make TTK, year two weapons a little more appealing than they would have been, had they not nerfed your year one gear. Why would they do this? The answer to this question is simple. Destiny lacks content, they withheld major portions of it to later release as high priced DLC. Being that content is lacking, Bungie decided that they want to reset progress and make players grind out everything all over again. They do this by introducing new year two gear, to make up for the lack of content. Many are ok with that and say it is expected from games like this. Others are not ok with it. Either way, Bungie should just fully disclose what their plans are and reveal in detail, exactly what new content players will be getting for their $40.

Ok, so let's say you really love your bitchin camero and have been driving it for years. Now let's say the government says that they are making you put in an electric engine at their cost or you can just drive a newer electric car. You ok with that? Your knee jerk reaction is just as bad as everyone else's knee jerk reaction which is just as bad as the knee jerk reaction so many displayed when the initial TTK info was released. People are going to complain about it because it is fresh and kinda crappy, but as you said, people will get used to it and adjust their play style accordingly. I personally disagree with a chunk of decisions, not because I use or don't use a specific, impacted weapon, but because I don't appreciate being told by someone that I am playing and enjoying something in an unintended way or that these bullet sponges will be spongier due to modifications to the guns. Mostly I just don't like the Apple mentality of, you aren't using our product in the proper way.

There is a problem with your post, the immaturity and crying is what caused the patch in the first place. It almost seems as if the bungie staff were a bunch bullied crybabies their whole life so now when people favor a specific weapon and it reigns supreme in the crucible or PVP and all the thumbless lackwits cannot evolve their game and find a way to compensate, they take to the forums and complain. Bungie being little bitches themselves, have a soft spot for these kids and heed their words. And then you come along and think all we need is to be skilled gamers and adapt but isnt that what the crybabies should have done from the start? And you contradict your post by saying we need to adapt to the changes, but YOU felt as if AR's and fusion rifles needed help. Couldnt you just learn how to run with them. And not defend changes that will inevitably chase the people away that made the crucible competitive and prevent PvE from being an ocean of intolerable 12 year olds. You damn fool.
