They cost an absurd number of points for how little they give. LFR scav mod, 2 bricks, both gave 1 ammo each while I had 5 ammo in my mag and non in reserve. This is a joke really. Reduce them to their original price. Yesterday, with machine gun scav while having ZERO ammo the max I could pick up was 25. 25, while the max is 230 something. At that point I'd rather use swords because at least they can do dmg.

People will say “bUt aMmO FiNdErS” just for me to do entire encounters in raids and get 1 brick that gives me 1 linear shot.
-
2 RepliesThis. HC, Sidearm, Trace, and Glaive should all be 2 cost. Fusion, Shotgun, Sniper, Sword and MG should all be 3. GL, Linear, and Rocket 4.

6 RepliesOnly beta boys need scav mods. Get it done with what the flag gives you son.

Forget about scavengers honestly. Find a explosive payload shoot to loot primary and you’re good to go. Finders are more useful at this point
-
I had this discussion with clan mates last night. It’s absurd. The cost is arbitrarily prohibitive in pve. They had to have known they were going to remove scavenger usability in the crucible, which makes it even more baffling when looking at the timeframe for the changes. Bunghole is demonstrably capable of balancing pve/pvp sandboxes separately, but seems reticent to do so for no apparent, valid reason. It’s getting old having an abundance of problems/complaints about the game instead of applauding the positive changes they make. Seems like every occasional good thing gets washed out by the river of trash development/mechanics decisions bungie makes.

Edited by Doctor_Roidberg: 6/22/2022 11:23:56 PMPretty much every mod needs an energy reduction. I see absolutely no reason to grind for Artifice armor when the energy limit is already maxed out by general use mods. Recov mod, Hand Cannon Reloader, and Fastball and my Arms are maxed all the way out. No room for any kind of Wells, CWL, or Artifact mod.

1 ReplyScav mods shouldn't work in pvp
-
Used to be cheaper, then cost was raised for no good reason.
-
2 RepliesAmmo finders and scav’s are no longer worth equipping imo. With the ludicrously high energy costs of some of the more useful seasonal mods and an increased focus by bungie on kinetic/energy usage over heavy it’s just a waste. Given ammo drops are supposed to increase with an exotic primary equipped I think bungie currently wants us to shelve heavy exotics all together for the time being. No doubt when the sandbox starts to get stale again and exotic heavy usage is at an all time low bungie will again buff those heavy exotics and we will all be amazed at how awesome whisper/anarchy are. Maybe I might even use MG’s in my heavy slot one day*shudders*

I've heard random anecdotal comments about scavenger mods being bugged but my brief search of Bungie tweets and TWABs never resulted in any actual Bungie comments to that effect... Has anyone seen anything official comments about scavenger mods not performing as intended? Alternatively, has there been any comment from Bungie about the mods working as intended?

Yes! But I also want to see few other modes adjusted, the price of them ruins build fluidity

But I generally agree with you. Once again this is more evidence that Bungie keeps listening to the wrong people on the direction the game should be going in. Instead of leaning into the fast-paced no-holds-barred space magic fantasy shooter, they listen to salty vets and streamers who want to go back to the "good old days" of everything needing ammo (even kinetics) and nothing being fast paced or fun. The last thing we should ever be concerned about in Destiny is 'logistics'. We're literally immortals infused with "The Light" which is space magic. Once you accept that premise, limiting ammunition seems quite silly at that point.

2 Repliesi ran 2 strikes last week and not one brick of heavy dropped in them .i was using lament with scav and finders, and glaive energy weapon (read somewhere energy weapons spawn heavy ammo bricks more often than primery weapons kills, how true that is i dont know)
-
Its also stupid that linear scav takes 4 energy . And nade launcher or sniper is 5 energy. Also dumb that HC reloader is more pricy than SMG and scout and pulse reloader.

Edited by Monkey: 6/22/2022 7:33:55 AMLike 5 slots for 1 extra rocket is just wrong .. I think even the finder mods need a rework as well..having sword finder on only to get 3 ammo isn't what I want lol
-
5 energy slots for 1 -blam!- rocket. I love it so much
-
Yeah they raised the scavenger mod prices due to pvp now disabled it and left the cost high
-
5 RepliesEdited by Blitz Wolf: 6/22/2022 1:12:48 AMSeasonal Class Item mods, too. It's so stupid that we can't build some fun combos because they're costing 6 with most of them. It should never be more than 5 and, even then, I still say that's too high. But, it's Bungie.. It's Destiny 2... You're not supposed to build fun loadouts. You're supposed to build minimal loadouts so you don't do things too quickly. Gotta keep those play-time numbers up, after all. EDIT: Took me a while to realize I didn't write "can't build" originally. I'm so damn tired after grinding for Vex. lol
-
Change them to ammo mutation, converting those unused ammo bricks into the type equipped in your hand
-
3 RepliesEdited by Shadow Wyrm: 6/21/2022 8:16:11 PMI found that if your running the storm chaser, linear scavenger doesn't seem to work at all
-
Yes. There's no reason for scam cost being this high anymore
-
I don’t use them anymore.
-
They probably should have reduced energy requirements since they only work in pve now, but this is bungie we’re talking about. This isn’t game-breaking my in-favour if players, so they aren’t going to implement a change anytime soon. My bet is this goes unaddressed until whatever September update there is.
-
It's to the point where I don't even run them anymore. Not worth it. Rather just get buffs and debuffs set up in my build now and just using abilities and supers more. Which is probably done intentionally to make people use their new 3.0 builds from void, solar, and stasis.
