I honestly dont understand these posts. Just stay away from them. They are massive -blam!-ing creatures of darkness, why would you be allowed near it? Of course it would stomp you away.
Bait the slam, then melee.

Dude the slam range is ridiculously huge and the knockback scale isn't radial it's completely random meaning the person that did trigger it would fly back half a meter but someone further back gets yeeted into the abyss. Oh let's also not forget the times you are FORCED to get into slam range

But...but again my point. STAY. AWAY. FROM.THE.BIG. SCARY.MONSTER. Why would they not realistically stomp you. If ants started swarming you at a picnic would you carefully throw stone at them one at a time or just -blam!-ing stomp the shit out of them.

Neither as sweeping them does a better job and my stomps don't launch things into the stratosphere. And again there are stomp enemies you HAVE to get close to either because you need to melee them or that stupid -blam!-ing bridge in reckoning
