Raid ranking to me
VOG
taken king (with competent folks)
Crota
WoM (lacked competent folks which may have skewed my appreciation for this)
D2 game shows
I much prefer the huge event and crazy detail put into the original 3 raids.
Im sure it’s tough to recreate that magic over and over without getting into the dull game show style mechanics vs boss fights

I think that most players would agree that the true problem is with the pace off the game, VoG, Crota and prison off elders were all short, intense firefights with a few area/enemy mechanics thrown in but now with the new leviathan, it’s stand around and wait for far to long for something to happen, no ebb and flow! Tuts and sighs are annoying! But, death to the horde is understandable! Go back to your roots Bungie, give us a fight, or at least let the circus burn to the ground while we’re doing it! Anyone worth their salt will tell you that ‘learning in repetition’ shows the flaws off something when mastered and all the leviathan has shown me from now actually completing it, is that D2 from sandbox to the raid at launch were very lacklustre indeed and that’s why so many players were pissed, Bungie strangled the fun and put in its place, repetition through many decisions that only created boredom off the same thing across the board! The game lacked pace but it’s now on the right track! but the future raids, need; intense pressure fire fights utilising the class abilities and player communication, the puzzles need to be away from the fights at interims and intervals to give a breather before the next encounter then smack us in the face again, that’s what’s missing from Destiny 2! Is there any other way, to say that the pace in D2 has created boredom through repetition doing menial tasks with minimal variation in reward? Last but not least, strangling the player from soloing content is what killed D2 for me watching streamers and enjoying the content, what’s there to watch now? apart from stacked PvP teams rolling randoms! I used to enjoy soloing crota raid, not all but I could get to the crota room and although I didn’t quite have the skill to pull off the full event, my son used to love me doing this as it gave him purpose in the game to achieve a little more instead off sulking if he KO and this is the thing that kept me playing and watching streamers! Bring it back, stop killing the fun!

My list is something like Crota (I loved crota) VoG (Not sure I ever finished it at a current LL, but I enjoyed it) Kings Fall (I didnt have a great team one time, the kther I had a decent group) WotM (Was only able to run once before D2, found it suffers from the same problem as levi main. To many mechanics) Levi main (Same as WotM, only the rewards were worse...and was stupidly buggy at the start of D2). Havent gotten round to the lairs. TL;DR, I'm with yah, lol
-
Agree completely with this. Even after Kings Fall we went back to VOG regularly. It was so unique
-
I lost my raid team because of the D2 game shows and warmind hasn’t brought them back.
-
I haven’t had my team since before CoO. I’m hoping they eventually make s comeback
-
Hard WoM was soooooo hard but so fun and challenging, the reason why my full hardmode set in d1 is my most prized armor set.
-
Really? Because if I hadda been able to it woulda been for the looks. WotM was hands down the best armour sets in destiny.
-
Don't get me wrong, it took a while especially with people who put "experienced" but were legit terrible and quit after 2 runs
-
Oh I know that pain. I mightn't have grinded d1s raids but I did with D2s, and I know those people...
-
My list would be as follow Kings fall Wrath of the machine (very close to Kings fall) Vault of glass - Crotas end - Leviathan (all of them pretty close) Taking into account memories i hace with them, length, difficulty and fum factoe
-
Funny, my all time favorite raid was WotM. It encompassed everything a raid should be. It was the Pinnacle of raiding in Destiny and it went out on a strong note as our final raid for Destiny. Difficult, challenging and rewarding. 1) Wrath of the Machine. 2) Crota's end. 3) King's Fall. 4) Vault of Glass.

VoG #4??? you must be drunk
-
Completely aware of my list and self. Vog was great, it just had Less difficulty compared to other raids. Was only difficult pre-crota
-
You must not have done Hard VoG with everyone between level 27-29...
-
More than you.
-
And out of those completions 45 of yours are on hard while 106 of mine are on hard, at least you tried bud
-
I have a 149 vog completions, you have 61...

Agree totally though I kinda like kings fall more, but in year 2 has 3 different raid groups and each run was just over an hour and fun. Still not even done d2 raid or Lairs as only reason is achievement and the exotic shotgun so will do it at some point if anyone comes back to the game
-
VOG is king!! But I would take Crota over Taken king any day. Taken king was stressful if you didn’t have a good team and the glitches that made you fail. I know Crota has it glitches but they were funny like when Crota would come down or even the starting point with you. I couldn’t stop laughing when that happen.

wow not #1? lol must not have been around for vanilla
