I remember the good old days, you buy a game and play it. Developers moved on to their next game.
Now we buy unfinished games with cut content and season passes.

Lol this. I remember when games were leased they had mabey a patch and bam mods!
-
Unless it's the Witcher Or halo 5 Overwatch Halo wars Borderlands Dishonored Dragon age Final fantasy Gears of war Doom Elder scrolls Titanfall 2 XCOM Should I continue ?
-
Ah, good. You named most of my favorite games. Sadly, compared to the vast number of games produced each year, this is a minuscule number of quality, finished titles.
-
You misspelled microtransactions
-
Overwatch halo and titanfall all with microtransactions have free dlc And not bs skins but new characters maps and game modes
-
Yeah you buy wins in Halo 5 in warzone because I'm over here sitting with a br while every eight year old is in a god damn tank. I remember when you had to fight for tanks not plugging into a req console and summon one whenever
-
Have you actually played halo war zone ? It explicitly limits what reqs can be used, when they can be used, how many you can use, and how often they can be used So simply buying packs doesn't grant you wins
-
Yes I have and its very very annoying. Most of the time people run forward spartan charge to 5 kills and then they summon their reqs its pretty retarded but so it Halo 5. It just messes the whole feel of Halo up
-
Then for those who don't like PvP warzone there's the 20 or so other modes where reqs have zero influence And that were added to the game at no additional cost
-
Yes but its not Halo they ruined that with the advanced movement
-
They couldn't just let halo sit at it's slow pace for over a decade The combat had to evolve in someway for it to be able to compete in today's market
-
They had to make it like Call of Duty. Believe it or not the close CQC that made the OG Halos great is the reason why they were great. Halo and Battlefield both tried to make their games like COD and no one likes them.
-
Halo was popular because of the competitive and balanced PvP And more importantly it's story And even with the changes it's nothing like call of duty Not even remotely close
-
Theres a lot of games that are competitive and lots of games with good stories. The reason why people fell in love with Halo multiplayer was because it was like no other game in the fact that it offered close quarters combat in a way no game could because the maps were smaller due to the fact that you had no sprint. When they added it in they had to make the maps bigger so you're really not getting anywhere quicker but it ruins the experience. If you ever played Halo 3 and then Halo 5 you would realized that Halo 5 is very noob friendly compared to Halo 3. The movement is the same as COD, you can aim in with all weapons now which is a drastic change, the most offensive of all is the spartan slam and spartan charge they put in for free kills. You can like Halo 5 but I am telling you the reason why most of the community doesn't like it is because it is not the Halo experience and feels more like COD
-
Then they're just part of that group of people that hate on anything new a video game does You have to remember halo was like nothing else, because it came out 16 years ago Name one game that plays the same as it did 16 years ago? Yes you can aim with weapons now, but but it's barely game changing Ground pound and shoulder charge do provide one hit kills However those are almost useless against any skilled player And those movement ? Clamber and a boost does not in anyway equate to call of dutys haphazard running on walls instakilling people with premade loadouts and super abilities They're completely different
-
Not really the boosting away completely negates grenade tactics that were a big part of OG Halo. They did not change Halo for the better because they changed Halo. Same with COD most people hate the flying part because its not COD, people hated Battlefield Hardline because of no vehicles making it not Battlefield, people don't like Halo 5 because of the movement and Halo 4 was pushing it and Halo Reach was as far as it should have went. People don't have to like it when they changed what they like too much. They went too far and hopefully they change it back.
-
Fair point, but halo still has an unattractive "pay for a chance to win" function for warzone
-
Nope. I bought Horizon ZD and enjoy a finished and polished game. I will also buy The Division GE for 40€ and enjoy a finished game for a realistic price.
-
My roommate has been grinding HZD in the living room while I grind my Destiny "chores" in my room. I'm sitting there like, "yeah, you're having fun, but I'm working toward my future. It takes hard work and planning and... goddamnit, can I borrow that?"
-
I'd rather buy a game and know that developers are supporting it in many ways. But I don't support when developers outright f*ck up the fundamentals of the game.
