• Multiplayer doesn't mean you have to play with others all the time, other multiplayer games allow you to do things solo and destiny being so far behind to lack many things in comparison

  • This isn’t other games. Engage with the content and reap the rewards.

  • He doesn’t play the game and hasn’t for years.. Look at his account. Lol so many guys on the forums that have negative opinions about a game they don’t play. Its hysterical.

  • Hence being so far behind in comparison. It would be more acceptable if you can do it solo albeit with slower pace and normal rewards, not outright "play together or GTFO"

  • The game provides tools to succeed. I’m unsure the problem here.

  • Exotic class item mission requiring a teammate to play is not how you design a mission. Having a teammate for better efficiency is fine, not "get a teammate or GTFO" Take Payday 2 for example, you can do all heist solo but it's more beneficial to play together for better time/loot ratio. That's how you encourage co-op, not gating it with two players requirement

  • You do know good multiplayer games dont lock stuff from people. Take Darktide, a co op multiplayer game, I can still get all the cool Veteran armor from penances without talking to anyone. The multiplayer argument is dumb.

  • This game is not Darktide. If you want the rewards, engage with the content. Additionally, this game provides all the necessary resources to complete said content.

  • Ok, should I compare it to a real MMO Swtor, a good PvP game, a good Multiplayer game. I just did the last part. I mean whenever I bring up any game that fits the definition of any defense you people have, be it MMO, Multiplayer etc etc, you always fall back on "This game is not X", its clock work, at this point its not even rewarding.

I mean whenever I bring up any game that fits the definition of any defense you people have, be it MMO, Multiplayer etc etc, you always fall back on "This game is not X", its clock work, at this point its not even rewarding.
WoW is also a counterpoint to your example as THE real MMO for a very long time and it 100% locks certain content out for both solo players as well as groups depending on the activity. Part of rewards in MMO’s that cater to large audiences of player types is to learn how to go get those rewards if it’s something you really want to get. I hate pvp but I had to do it for the legendary cloak in MoP and so I did it because I wanted it that badly. Good MMO’s truly aren’t designed for everyone to have all the same things because balance among the player base is what allows for differentiation. They give you a way to obtain it, that’s all that’s required of them to do. Up to the individual to find out if they want it and then how to go about getting it.

  • You can compare all you want, but this game is not any of the other MMO’s. It doesn’t matter what X game does, or if you think Y game does _____ better, or even how Z’s system allows for _____. The game provides all you need to complete the objective and people continue to complain.

  • Again, your doing exactly what the Bungie Defense force does, you claim its the best MMO, Multiplayer etc etc, then you move the goal post so hard I can still see the smoke. News flash, Destiny 2 could be better, defending Bungie as if they are on the verge of curing all types of cancer will not make them improve.

  • Yes, it can be better, but if this is the thing people believe is what is holding the game back? There are many more problems that take priority, especially since this is not one of the problems.

  • Considering solo/casual players always make up the majority of any game, and them leaving means a game is good as dead, yeah, I kind of want Bungie to actually listen to them instead of streamers and youtubers. FFS I want Bungie to actually do something good, but you people defending them as if your honor is on the line will do nothing. Pathfinder is what I hate the most, screw that -blam!- looking exotic. But please tell me how im wrong for not liking being forced to play PvP, ruining mine and my teams experience.

  •
Considering solo/casual players always make up the majority of any game, and them leaving means a game is good as dead, yeah,
Yes they make up the most of the accounts but not the big part of playtime.
I kind of want Bungie to actually listen to them instead of streamers and youtubers.
You do realise that there a lot of other players than casuals and streamers right? I'm far away from being a casual but that doesn't make me a streamer or youtuber. The game has a lot of different types of player and bungie has to provide content for all of them.
FFS I want Bungie to actually do something good, but you people defending them as if your honor is on the line will do nothing.
They delivered great content. Casuals got: - a great campaign - a new strike - 2 seasonal activities - many optional quests - the pale heart More engaged players got: - one of the best exotic missions - the best raid of Destiny "hardcore" players got: - the best Contest to date I'd say the amount of content is heavily weighted towards casual players.

  • The easiest comparison would be Warframe, you get similar amount if not more for free and 36th DLC just came out yesterday for free

  • Id be curious to compare all of what Warframe had come out over the same span of the period between LF and TFS. The smaller, more frequent updates help Warframe’s game model. I’m grinding for Jade currently - she looks fun.

  • I'd argue it's not any smaller than what you get from LF and TFS - one new destination : one new tileset - a new campaign : a new story quest - a new strike : new mission, sometimes two or even three like Zariman Ten Zero - 2 seasonal activities : probably operation or regular events like fomorian, ghoul purge, etc - raid : whatever comes with the update designed for high level players (Deep Archimedea, Orb fight, etc) - Exotic : so many weapons in Warframe can be exotic on its own like newly introduced evensong where damaging enemies negates their damage while killing enemies granting buff to teammates And if we compare the amount, 36 DLC is clearly more than 6 DLC (CoO to TFS)

Yeah in Forsaken we got 4 new strikes, 4 new PvP maps, Gambit, A raid, a great story, 2 new patrol areas, and so many secrets and exotics that that it blows FS out of the water. Heck, the exotic mission to get Caydes Ace of Spades was more fun then all the exotic quests in FS. And this coming from someone who loves the Khvostov Edit: I forgot to add a real new enemy faction the Scorn
