"PS4 - the best place to play Destiny."
Everything else gets shafted. Besides, you should've known by now that Bungie doesn't give a shit about the "veterans". The only thing they care about is gathering new money and hooking more people.
And to those not understanding... your rewards are obviously based off of site data... so it's absolutely lazy to not have them apply to PC.

They're linked to systems still. Your Xbox and Ps4 accounts are not linked obviously. They can't just paste that data to different completely accounts. Blizzard/Battle,net is still it's own thing like Microsoft and PlayStation accounts. Yes you can link them all to your Bungie account, but notice how they're all separated for a reason?

Edited by Ahhsenberg: 6/24/2017 4:02:38 PMYes, but is it all that hard to apply the data in terms of the Bungie account associated? You could let the user pick an account for legacy stats for the system to go off of. I'm not an expert on website functions, but it doesn't sound that far off.

You mean the objective of every single business in today's world?

Edited by Ahhsenberg: 6/24/2017 3:33:38 PM*sigh* There's nothing wrong with making money. Everyone has to. However, that doesn't mean you have to maximize your profit at the cost of screwing your fanbase or degrading the quality of the game. Maybe this particular incident isn't that significant, but they have shown countless times over such behavior.

I'm not defending their behavior. I just don't know why people single out businesses who do this anymore. Every business does it. And people act like they're surprised by it still. We don't punish them... They make more money for being that way.... what's the incentive to stop? To sleep better at night? How can you sleep better, than with a king mattress with a 1000 thread count and a 70 inch screen that comes down from the ceiling? With a gorgeous girl, who you just had to show her your car for her to jump in, and while you're sleeping, you're making more money than the average American. You know? Why would they change. They get rewarded for being assholes. Welcome to America.

Edited by Ahhsenberg: 6/24/2017 3:52:36 PMThank god. I was really not in the mood for some fanboy arguing how great Bungie is and that they deserve all the money people throw at their screens. What you're saying is exactly my viewpoint on Bungie, and every other company that practices such business practices. I honestly don't blame them. The gaming industry has became this bad because of the consumers not holding any standards and buying everything shiny that pops up on their screens. I'm only a bit sour towards Bungie because they used to be the most acclaimed game developer in terms of how they managed their community and the passion they made their games with.

I call it mainstreaming. And slowly but surely mainstreaming has happened across all forms of art and entertainment. We prize image over substance. And keeping people uneducated, allows for shiny things to peak interest. It's all smoke and mirrors. That's why every CEO makes press conferences, and they all sound exactly the same way. It's the language of bullshit.

Indeed.
