You guys who make these posts are so funny.
I genuinely enjoy reading all your complaints and the ways you come up with arguments.
Just a quick question though, why do you and all your other butt buddies who post complaint posts think you speak for the majority of the destiny community?

I suppose sometimes the vocal minority thinks it's the majority simply because it's the loudest.
-
They don't, they just feel that saying that makes their argument look more substantial (which doesn't btw). The majority of those that whine about SBMM are PvP top skilled players and everybody knows that top players represent 1℅ or 2℅ of all crucible players. They only speak for those type of players, not less and not more.
-
...because they do speak on behalf of the majority

Except they don't

No, they don't, the residents of this forum are a tiny, tiny minority of destiny gamers which number in the hundreds of thousands. The guys like the op speak for a minority of a minority and a great proportion of the time, while their posts are well written, they don't have a clue what they are talking about! They're just whinging because they can't win every game every time which is the way it should be! The amount of really good, really close games I've had this iron banner has made it one of the best events I've taken part in. And that's what I want. I mean sure we all enjoy blowing out the opposition every so often but I don't want that to happen every game. If there's a few hundred points between my team and the opposition then surely sbmm is doing its job.

Amen brother

Ir has nothing to do with my desire to win and everything to do with my understanding that this matchmaker coupled with this poor netcode just causes problems for people and it's only going to get worse as the population falls. Close games and skill based search settings are fine and probably should be in destiny 2 if we get a new networking setup for the game but this one just can't handle even the loose Skil criteria it had in year one.

I don't think the issue is with the close games or competitive gunfights, or even with losing games. The issue is connections are terrible. You don't get a satisfying competitive game getting wall banged or trading... People want CBMM for connection, not for pub stomping. If SBMM maintained consistency, we wouldn't be where we are.

So much this
-
He is right, though. You can't prioritise some skill parameter over connections on a game that is P2P. During peak hours, I can make it work, but at other times I lag so much the game becomes literally unplayable. That or I lose connection

There is no joy in speaking an unfortunate reality.

You're going to have to mute reality, too.
