I feel like a lot of people just hit their Destiny breaking point
we have been saying this same thing for almost a year now and have gotten a few snarky comments from various higher ups at bungie. This is of course after they lied to us for a few months to "get better data" and promised a culture change after they got rid of their CEO.

What we got was the same thing we had before with a few more scraps right after the CEO change to make us feel good while the majority of our information has come from Kotaku leaks, all of which have been right so far, and hardly anything from bungie except right when their marketing team gets the ball rolling to make some money.
The SBMM has been an issue for a while and there are players on both sides that want it and dont want it for the wrong reasons. Why I dont want it, and why a lot of the more intelligent (intelligent meaning those that want it removed for the right reasons) members dont want it, is that SBMM isnt a bad thing but the game just cant handle its implementation. It is a bad thing when it is implemented poorly into a system that cant really support it which Destiny and it's bad netcode cannot. There really is no way to spin the fact that destiny doesnt have good connections and has never had good connections. It is just getting amplified for a lot of us and it is going to get worse and worse as the population falls off over this year.
I think at this point every one realizes that we are going to get absolutely nothing this next year just like we got absolutely nothing last year and they are fed up with it. They need to have some sort of culture change at Bungie and realize they have to be more open about things like a lot of other developers are.
We arent being toddlers we are just sick of being ignored and feeling like our concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
Edit: Not trying to say SBMM is a bad thing. It cant be good for the game, it is just implemented poorly right now and it is amplifying connection issues for a lot of players. It needs scaled back a bit so that we can get better connections and the issues are only going to get worse for even those around 1.0k/d as the player base drops

Mark me down as another burned out player. The grind to try and get my light up to an acceptable level to do the raid is what finally did it for me...same strikes over and over. For over two years I played almost every day with few exceptions, minus a two week break before HoW dropped. Haven't played in three weeks and don't miss it at all...thought of jumping back into the grind actually makes me feel physically sick.

7 RepliesI'm there. Crucible is just too much of a shit show. P2P and SBMM hates me. Everyone is a god. Every sniper is perfect. Every shotgun has 10x the range of mine. Primaries melt me like were playing CoD harcore mode. I'm either going 50-5 or 5-50 (slight exaggeration) my KD suggests I'm avg. But I don't have avg games. I'm either unstopable or a traffic cone with no thumbs. It's so inconsistent it's ridiculous.. I'm over the crucible, I'll try it again in destiny 2. PvE? It's fun when it's new, for the first week. the challenge modes for the raid this time around were very disappointing.. they've lost their edge.. they've watered everything down to satisfy the kids.

Been waiting 9 minutes for a control game stuck on 6 ppl in the lobby. Played supremacy against the same 11 lagging pieces of shit for the last hour. Burnt out is a strong word. I'm not desperate to play it despite being away for 5 days, but I would still play it ahead of something else 80% of the time and certainly more than paying money for a new game.

As I said on a similar post, the fact that posts like these are front page of trending with numerous likes and comments, speak leagues about the current state of the game. Too many players are no longer enjoying it anymore, PvE players are getting bored and PvP players are frustrated. As for myself, I share a similar sentiment. PvP is a mess, it only takes 30 minutes on another game to realise how bad the PvP experience in Destiny is overall. As for PvE, I haven't gone full hardcore so still have 1 part of the book to complete and would like to complete the aksis challenge but then I'm done, nothing left to do after that. Over to you Bungie....... You're the only ones who can keep this game afloat

Good vid... Bungie said a long time ago they don't want balance...they want each weapon/class to have its moment to shine...I don't want to dig and actually try to find when and where they said it but they said it... U made some great points and I'm really not enjoying pvp much...which is crazy cause PVE always got stale but PVP was always fun because even without balance and lag.... But now, it's really getting starting to get bad...especially since clever dragon oversized rounds got handed to everyone pretty much... Last 3 trials were so long and boring....if I wanted to watch tv I would watch ESPN... The hit detection is so terrible and uncrisp, if that is even a word...ever since primary weapons were nerfed to shreds, special weapons were god. Why did they nerf the damage, range, damagefall off, accuracy, ammo, perks, and add bloom? Like u said, the only weapons that were op were the last word, hawk moon, and thorn... Instead they nerfed them and snipers had so much more time to line up headshot with insane aim assist and no flinch, double bodyshot u, or body shot-switch to primary-one bullet kill u b4 any primary weapon could kill u... snipers had no real threat w huge damage fall off and bad accuracy, as well as all the things listed above but these were the main issues...all they had to do was buff primary weapons instead of nerfing snipers... Seriously they nerfed everything....we use to be so powerful...now we rely on a couple weapons and the speed of guardians to outmaneuver or outsmart enemy w shotguns mostly...

4 RepliesI almost wish I didn't even buy RoI, I basically spent $30 on a shitty story and got everything in like a week. (minus thorn but I don't really care, I had the original and I could care less if the quest drops). I ran the normal raid a couple times and the first iron banner. Sorta, supremacy just kind of pissed me off (mostly random teammates who didn't know how to ptfo, which lol, how can you not comprehend how to ptfo in supremacy, Jesus people are stupid) And you know what, BF1 came out and it's just so much more fun. Skyrim remastered came out and has so much more to offer. Destiny and three years of DLC can't compare to vanilla Skyrim. I come to the forums here every so often to see if there is anything new, anything that will bring me back to destiny but it just..... It's just not there. All I see is people complaining about the same things that never get fixed, apparently Dos attacks are rampant in trials (I was never good at the style of play required for trials so whatever) but it just seems like a mess. I had a good laugh at people spending $20, $40, $60, $100+ on festival of the lost to get stupid shit. I'm in the top tax bracket but I could never justify spending that kind of money on garbage. It's literally preying on people with gambling problems and children with parents credit cards. (if you spent that kind of money despite your income level on ingame bullshit skins you have a problem, I'm not trying to be mean, but you have a serious problem) Will I come back for sparrow racing? I just don't see it, I see SRL potentially being another money grab. I don't know if I'll be able to in good conscience preorder D2. Certain things are forgivable, the weak content, the weak story, the complete mess of the crucible (from balance to netcode, no ded servers, took two years for custom matches) But you know what isn't forgivable? The complete disrespect of Eververse, the fact that they think it's ok. I get it, it's the new evil in games, I believe it started with greedy ass EA and the truth is how can you blame them. It's a reflection of the community, of the consumer. Just as Trump is a reflection of our nation, as even further the Clinton vs Trump was a reflection of our nation, Eververse is a reflection of the current gaming community and it's just -blam!-ing sad.

Better shooters came out this year and Destiny is over 2 years old. Its not rocket science to see that with very limited PvE expansions, Destiny would eventually flame out. Now its just Twitch streamers playing each other in ToO. There's nothing wrong with any of that btw. Destiny had its run, and superior competitors put it to bed. Destiny 2, hopefully, ups the bar. Otherwise, that might be the end of the run. Bungie should make a better game and maybe they will. I think they will and if they don't, that's on them.

Then i log into Twitch app destiny streams and every single streamers plays PVP faithfully , Trial carries blah blah.. Played last week when iron banner was on i think monday or tuesday because a co-worker beged me to play with him and his buds but the real love from Day 1 its gone... I can safely say since I bought a new xbox one s last saturday (target deal) , I pledge to not download Destiny ever again for me its a PVP crucible content now and pvp in destiny is cancer. Btw I still have the companion app because I scope the Gaming forums thread for other game titles discussions.

5 Repliesraids are like a waste of dev time for me since they have no matchmaking of any kind built in the game. So those are a complete loss for me and others like me. Repeating content gets old, really old, very quickly. So repeating for gear boosts isn't that compelling. Iron banner still requires a redonk amount of play to get level 5. Can't ignore other things in my life for iron banner. lag issues are worse in destiny than any other AAA game i've ever played in my entire life. So kudos to bungie's dev team for that one. Just pure dogshit how it allows lab abusers and peeps with horrible connections to DESTROY the game experience for everyone else. Do love the story and the first chunk of easy gearing up. After that it slows down and just isn't worth it. Destiny has been stretching pretty small content blocks for 2 years now. I hope destiny 2 delivers more value for my dollar.

I enjoy destiny for how i play now. Its easy to pick up for 30 minutes or 3 hours. With pokemon on friday, ff15 end of month, final fantasy 12 hd sometime next year (cant wait to dump another 100+hours into this game) i see my destiny time decreasing. Ill still play it but its not like how year 1 was for me where i couldnt wait for work to be done om reset tuesday to raid/nightfall and everything else.

Played 3 games of skirmish last night, got mercy'd once or twice, and shit stomped another game, the other 2 were sweaty as -blam!-..... I just wanted some casual games to -blam!- around in. I'd argue we really don't need SBMM, if you want harder games we have trials for that every weekend. The rest of crucible could be the casual crap.
