If you want everything you've gotta play everything, simple.

So nothing should could from any specific activity? Why bother with quests then. There's maybe 3 exotics that require crucible, compared to 50+ that don't. If you don't want to do the activity then you don't want the weapon. Plenty of people like myself have put up with crucible to get the weapons, why can't you?

Your reply makes it sound like you didn't enjoy the crucible, instead you just had to suck it up because you wanted the weapon and that's what I should do. I'm after an Easy in Crucible OR Hard in environment quest step. Maybe even taking much longer PvE. It would be good to have the choice so I can pick the one that's more fun for me. For example I picked the drifter. 1 PvE quest then the crucible. For me the season of the drifter is rubbish. BUT a simple change and everyone would be happy.

Yeah, it's not the best way to get access to guns/content in a game you bought, but sometimes the ragdoll animations from grenade explosions are funny.

None of the crucible steps are particularly difficult even for a below average player. You could easily get these quests done slowly, like I have. The game is more than just pve, if you don't want to do anything but, you're not going to get all rewards. This applies to the majority of games, not just destiny.

Your right in that if I wanted too I could do it. Just don't look at the final score and keep grinding. I have decided not to bother as it's only a different gun. It just seems weird that they want to pressure us into an un fun grind when a simple change would make it more enjoyable. Incuding the other way of opening up PvE weapons to longer crucible grinds.

Pve isn't fun for some though, so should they change all the other quests to include it? Should raid exotics come from strikes? Bungie wants people to play everything and is always going to have some carrot to dangle. There's nothing wrong with deciding you don't enjoy an activity enough to play it for a weapon, but you should also realise they're not going to make it easier just for you.

Very true. However I'm happy that option B is harder. Much much harder. Plus this is only the quests not any PvP exclusives.
