Please make quests completable without PvP

I love PvE. I've no issue with players that love PvP and can see why it's an important part of the game. I personally don't enjoy it so I don't play it. But I now have lots of quests that require PvP. For example 25 headshots to get Cayde's 6. That's going to take me ages and lose the game for my team while I'm doing it, spoiling their fun too. Do you want someone on your team that gets 1 kill and dies LOTS? It would be much better to have 25 Precision shot in Crucible OR something PvE. Even if that's much harder to do. Please Bungie

  • Or just give both PvE and PvP options like they have done with some the recent quests.

  • I like the PVP, PVE and Gambit portions of these bounties.

  • Sorry. I disagree. If you want the thorn or ace of spades. You should do pvp as those are pvp gun. I am a horrible pvp player and I obtained them.

    • I agree with this 100%. Crucible is not a space I enjoy so making me grind it puts me off trying. The fact that people say just do it and screw the rest of your team shows how toxic these quests can be for the player base

      • I don't want to do the Raid, can you have Bungie give me 1K from playing crucible? Thanks!

There are very few weapon quests that require pvp...and when they do, it's almost always a single step amongst 8 pve steps. There are plenty of pve acquired guns and gear and a small fraction require pvp. Most people that don't enjoy pvp, don't enjoy it because they aren't super great at it. But you don't get to be a good player by jumping in randomly here and there, you have to practice for a while. If you want the stuff that requires pvp, you gotta practice a bit and get to the level where you can complete the step...which honestly isn't overly difficult and won't "take forever". 25 headshot kills is a step that only progresses, you don't lose progress. So, at most, it will just be a short grind for you...even if it takes 25 matches at 1 headshot per match...it is what it is and it's the same requirement for every player. You either want the gun or you accept not having it because of refusing to do a step. I know the grinds in the game can be frustrating at times, especially if you don't make progress for a bit but that's the beauty of it. It's an achievement you can feel good about and when that weapon drops, you forget all about how bad the grind was and feel good about persevering through the adversity you faced to obtain it. Destiny has many parts and gear that is earned from all different activities...having to do pvp once in a while is just part of it. You have to decide if the weapon is worth the struggle. Pvp players could say it's not fair that 1k voices only drops from raids or that weapon quests require 8 pve steps and only 1 pvp. There are all different types of players, different types of activities, and gear that comes from all different sources. If there is something that comes from a source you don't particularly enjoy, then it's on you to decide whether to chase it or not because destiny is offering things to all different kinds of players and it's not a requirement to own everything in the game.

          • Well they tried that with the Revelry...... Then when they realized how fast people were completing the “gambit or PvP orbs of light” triumph, they hey disabled it in everything but quickplay (citing some BS about guitar errors, which I not anybody I knew ran into that). PvP slog for PvE players create an artificially long play time for us since there is no SBMM, resulting in lopsided matchmaking, resulting in us less than average PvE players struggling for many many games to complete these steps.

          • If you want everything you've gotta play everything, simple.

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t want it implemented. You have PvP players complaining about how PvE players ruin everything. Imagine if you could have gotten The Last Word or Thorn by just running around in the EDZ for an hour instead of playing Crucible for an hour, then you get the PvP part of Destiny dying even more and the ratio of sweats to casuals is even worse. Or you’d call for this and it gets implemented. What’s a fair balance to PvP players who have to make effort, instead of mindlessly shooting Hive in their easy faces? 25 Precision Kills in PvP or 250 in PvE? I can knock that out much faster than 25 in Crucible. Would 500 be fair? Still easy, that’s like 3 strikes. 1,000? Then you have PvE players complaining it takes too long. What about the ones where you have to get percentages from kills that you lose on dying? That’s usually a 1.0-1.5 K/D requirement in Crucible, but are people still dying in PvE? Would it be without dying in heroic raids? Some PvE players don’t do raids. Would it be no dying in Nightfalls? Easy, just load up the easiest nightfall without modifiers. Now you’ve got PvP players complaining, or abandoning PvP. For some weapons, I’d like to see a PvP or PvE option implemented, but it would have to be equally balanced which is difficult to do.

              • Give me raid exclusives on pvp because I don't do raids.
